Take Home Message:
The v88 is built to be a "clone" of the mini IPAD 8" in form factor. This size is said to be the "goldilocks" of sizes as it's large enough to game, watch videos and comfortable read ebooks/web browse but with smaller size, its easier to hold, transport and batteries tend to last longer due to smaller screen. It uses one of the newer quad-core Rockchip CPUs (RK3188) with a overclocked GPU (mali-400 533MHz) and has been getting good reviews with early benchmarking scores. CPU is currently clocked at 1.6GHz but should be able to be clocked at 1.8Ghz or higher as firmware matures. Users have reported overall good build quality except for some initial issues with 1st production run batches (see below). Tablet is very snappy and gets great benchmark scores. Tablet his shown great battery performance with a nice vibrant bright screen. Tablet is available with 2GB RAM which give it room to grow as OS and apps require more memory in the future. Tablet comes with BT technology which is hard to find in the 8" form factor. Thought to be a "good bang for the buck" and can be had from various vendors between $165 to $200 (USD). Initial consumer reviews have indicated that users are happy with their purchase so far.
