What is the difference between credit and debit cards?

When applying for a credit card, remember that if you don't repay the debt on time, the bank may charge late fees. Therefore, you need to carefully assess your creditworthiness to ensure you repay the loan and interest on time.

A credit card allows you to borrow money from a bank or financial institution up to a set limit, which you repay later, often with interest if not paid in full. A debit card, on the other hand, draws money directly from your bank account, so you can only spend what you have. Credit cards help build credit history, while debit cards are useful for everyday spending without debt risk.

Those who have their own money and prefer to use it exclusively open debit cards. Credit cards are borrowed funds from the bank that must be repaid with interest.

The biggest practical difference is control over spending. With debit card I use only my own money, but with credit card many people feel safe first and pay for it later with interest

A debit card uses your own money from your bank account. A credit card is like a small loan from the bank. You must pay it back later, usually every month. If you are late, you pay extra interest.

I prefer debit card because it keeps me closer to my real balance. Credit card can be useful, but only if someone treats it like borrowed money and pays it back on time
