Leverage is the use of borrowed capital to bolster the potential returns during forex trading. Leverage is a double edged sword that can work for you as well as against you depending on your forex trading skills and experience. So, different traders requires different leverage.

If we will do our trading with lower risks then our losses will also remain low and the ability to make profits will go up. This is why we have to first of all understand how much leverage is going to be safe for us :o

Though a leverage as high as 1:500 will generally enable a trader to earn fantastic returns with relatively small trading capital, there may be risk of sustaining loss that may impact adversely on your trading capital on losing trades.

Most seasoned traders prefers lower leverage such as 1:50, but the choice is generally that of the trader. Different leverage works best for different traders.

I always chose the small leverage. because I thought it was the most appropriate choice. we can focus a little bit so we were forced to pair trading at the best of times. choose the moment of trading requires patience. but if we have limited leverage, then we are faced with the selection of the best course of trade. so, this is the positive side of choosing a little leverage.

if brother still in the learning phase, and the equity is less than $ 500, you should use the leverage of 1: 1000, because it means that each transaction requires only a small margin.

if brother already have equity above $ 1,000, then good leverage is 1: 500 or 1: 200, it will make your trading more controlled, so there is no over trade.

Choosing leverage will always be related with strategy that we use. Mostly, scalper will choose to use higher leverage and day trade just choose leverage that needed. Day trader usually use small lot, so even using 1:100 is already enough.

If you use high leverage, then the potential for you to be greedy is high. So, use lower leverage like 1:100 and this will control your greediness..

With the use of the high trading leverages come the risks of a loss. This is also a reason why we have to try to reduce our trading losses by keeping a lower trading leverage settings :)

Right!, because lower leverage means lower risks. But it still depends on the trader itself, but some of them wanted to minimize the risks really well...

the greater the leverage that we use, the greater the risk that we will get. therefore, we must be wise in choosing leverage. We can try to trade in a demo account to test the leverage that will get proper leverage
