Unichain Adopts Chainlink Data Standard To Scale Institutional DeFi
Unichain, the DeFi chain powered by Uniswap, said Wednesday that it integrated the Chainlink Data Standard and officially joined the Chainlink Scale program.
The San Francisco based firm says its developers now have access to Chainlink (CRYPTO: $LINK) Data Feeds and the newly launched Smart Value Recapture tool (SVR).
Unchain highlighted the integration of Chainlink SVR, noting that it introduces "oracle value recapture" to Unichain’s lending markets. SVR is designed to capture liquidation MEV, value that is often lost to third-party bots. Since its initial rollout, SVR has reportedly recaptured over $16 million in value across various networks.
"We're excited to see Unichain join the Chainlink Scale program and adopt the Chainlink data standard to secure, institutional-grade DeFi markets. As the DeFi chain powered by Uniswap, Unichain adopting Chainlink is a clear signal that the industry is converging around secure and reliable infrastructure." said Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer of Chainlink Labs.
Through the Chainlink Scale program, the Uniswap (CRYPTO: $UNI) Foundation will cover specific costs associated with the integration and maintenance of the oracle networks supplying data to Unichain. According to the release, this subsidy allows developers to access low-cost, high-performance Chainlink services.
Unichain noted that the addition of Chainlink’s infrastructure, which has enabled over $28 trillion in transaction value provides the verifiable chain of trust necessary for institutional participants to deploy capital at scale.
The partnership builds on Unichain's earlier adoption of the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), effectively completing the full suite of Chainlink services on the network.
