WARNING:ALWAYS CREATE A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT WHEN MODIFYING SYSTEM FILES

Step 1. Download one of the attached zip files below that matches your current Windows 7 OS.You will also need Takeownership which I have also attached, Once downloaded unzip them to your desktop and install Takeownership

For 32bit (x86) Windows 7:

Take Ownership Download:

Step 2. Navigate to Computer Management by going:

"Start"\Right Click "Computer"\then click "Manage"\and locate the "Desktop Window Manager Session Manager" service and select "STOP"



This will Disable the Windows Aero effect

Step 3. Navigate to:
Code: Select all
c:\Windows\System32\dwm.exe & c:\Windows\System32\uDWM.dll
and Takeownership of the 2 files and rename them to

dwm.BAK & uDWN.dll.BAK

Step 4. Copy and paste the new dwm.exe & uDWM.dll from your desktop to
Code: Select all
c:\Windows\System32

Step 5. Restart the "Desktop Window Manager Session Manager



Step 6. Now download unzip and install this reg entry which will allow you to have Full Glass Transparency.

To install either Double click or Right click\merge and follow the prompts

Step 7. Now right click your desktop and select "Personalization" and select Windows Color"



And then make sure "Enable Transparency" is checked and that the "Slider" is all the way to the left.



And select "Save Changes" before exiting.

Step 8. Restart your Computer and then you will see Clear Glass Transparency.
