CCcam is a program that supported by linux to share access cards for the pay-TV broadcasting reception system. There are many types of device on the market that can able you to watch satellite TV program by over IP sharing like a Dreambox, Openbox, Skybox and others. You can receive all your favorite channels from the provider of your choice by using only an internet connection.

Satellite receivers is require a protocol software installed in it, that's called a CCcam software. This is a small software that can allow your device communicate directly to the original server subscribed to the service provider of pay-TV provider.

Every 5-10 seconds your TV picture will be encrypted by the service provider for the de-cryption key. Your receiver will contact the server CCcam service providers to obtain real-time password and sends it back to your receiver. This all happens in milliseconds to ensure that the picture you see is not disturbed or broken, broken as it was when you saw the movie with a CD / DVD is dirty / damaged. That why here we are using fiber internet connection for our server. And all our client must have a stable internet connection with minimum speed 256Kbps for download and 256Kbps for upload for the best picture running.

There are also some people often ask about the use of the internet, do they need a lot of internet usage quota?. Actually is not.

1. CCcam is not require fast connection but just need to stabilize. Minimum speed 256Kbps/D and 256Kbps/U.
2. CCcam need a connection to the server via the internet around 5 seconds, and even then only approximately 144 - 500bps (bits per second)

Simple calculation CCcam using the internet :

1 minute = 60 seconds divided by 5 = 12 (number 5 comes from the delay CCcam using the internet)

Instance did you watch in 10 Minutes :

(12 x 10 minutes) x 500bps = 60000bps

1 byte = 8bit
60000/8 =7500 byte

1 KB = 1024 byte
7500/1024 = 7.32421875 KB

Means in 10 minutes CCcam spend + / - 7.5 KB if 1 hour mean multiplied by 6 means only 45KB.

There are several factors that influence Internet use for CCcam, how frequently you change channels, subscription server online / offline, etc.. But is not even spend your internet quota,don't worry.
