Position Summary Statement

The application analyst is a versatile and highly motivated individual who works with the development team and business users on the functional requirement definition, design, implementation and maintenance of systems applications. The person reviews, analyzes, develops and modifies business applications. Analyzes and resolve problems associated with applications and detects, diagnoses and report related problems. Relies on limited experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Work under general supervision, typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

  1. Requirements gathering and scope definition with non-technical Business User constituencies.
  2. The ability to interview various non-technical managers to understand complex, dynamic business rules/process and then create detailed, specific and comprehensive documentation.
  3. Engage business users spanning multiple business units and ensure cohesive articulation of business goals and processes to ensure effective internet solution.
  4. Functional understanding of the system supported and the development framework for customization.
  5. Functional and technical competency is desired.
  6. Verification of feasibility of Business users request functionality and business rules based on existing technical systems and data structures.
  7. Ability to create and present key requirements artifacts:
- Scope Documents
- Use Cases.
- Detailed specification of Key Business Rules.
- Activity Diagrams.
- Business process Mapping Diagrams and documentation.
- Application GAP analysis.

Supervisory Responsibilities.
Must provide peer monitoring for less experienced team members. Project management capability.

Minimum Qualifications
Have 2 to 4 years of experience in practical technical / functional.
Strong written and spoken English.
Knowledge in Oracle application functionally, schemas and development fireworks.
Knowledge of Oracle application configurations.
Strong Interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of project and/ or software development life cycle.
Proficiency with SQL based queries.
Experience with Microsoft Office , VIS/O, and project 2000.

Highly Desired
Previous experience in this role servicing large multinational corporations ($2B + Revenue) either as an internal employee or a consultant.
Fluency in foreign language in Mandarin / Chinese International experience.
Knowledge / Experience integration internet systems with Oracle 11 applications and legacy systems.

Salary range RM8k - RM12k depending on experience.
