Bila saya buat dari 01/2000 till 06/2010.. Ini saya dapat
FXOCGEURUSD2000-2010.gif

Yang saya hairan... bila saya buat 10 year backtesting... hanya 1 trade per year... Atau one martingale round per year.

Bila saya buat sectional period backtesting... Ini saya dapat...

2000 - 2004
FXOCGEURUSD2000-2004.gif

2005 - 2008

Result tak consistant lah mengikut time period... Apa macam? Saya keliru...

equilec, i discovered this as well. Kindly verify it if you have the time. Those backtests for long term mostly got stopped out, but this situation is different to backtest for short term. I think the reason is due to the last position opened. Check the last position that got stopped out in long term backtest (the 10 years backtest or 2000-2004 backtest), and check if the position is the same with the one when you do sectional backtest.

Equilec,

Good info for the rest of CG Members -

I have no comment on this - the more we backtest the more we know the limitation of this EA -

Decide -

My purpose of posting this EA is to give another alternative to the risk of other Martingale EAs - if you backtest any other Martingle EAs, it probably could not last that long throughout period of backtest as shown by Equilec - (I am not sure though) -
So, trade with Care still , if you guys decide to trade live with my Special Martingale EA -

Yes... I can confirm that when a the EA takes the trade, it will continue to hold onto the trade... and will not open the trade when i backtest the whole 10 year data.

So... it depends on when the trade takes place. I am not sure if the EA behaves diferently coz in 2009, the EA takes a lot of trade in a year... but when I test out even sectional period data, the EA does not take as many trades as in 2009 till June 2010.

Sigh... so much potential.. but with no consistent result.. How?

Thank you very much for sharing this EA.

For me, my criteria is if it pass 10 years backtesting. It is at least worth the time to test it out live. That is my criteria.

I have backtested quite a lot of Martingale EA. And only a handful manage to pass this 10 years backtest. About 2 to be exact.

I have started a thread here. http://www.carigold.com/portal/forums/showthread.php?t=148161 all about Martingale... :D

With such high risk... There must be at least some detail benchmark or criteria to adhere too.

Anyway... once again... many many thanks for your share and effort. Unfortunately... I dare not put this on my live account. I have only so much margin to offer... :)
