i do agree with you that problems come with tech. some may say that tech do more harm than benefit.

by thinking outside of the box, it means that, some of us, live in this high tech era, and development, we still what malay words for it 'di takuk lama'. but i don't blame them, some things we have to think inside of the box, means we have to be that di takuk lama la. but some of the things, we have to think outside of the box. but still, some people became too open, and that may cause problems too.

kinda a twist. haha. :))

paradigm shift and those other words i don't know la. :))

to me.. thinking within the box doesnt mean that you are at the 'takuk lama'...
thinking within the box is what most people are doing... do things the normal way...
thinking outside the box is more like having a creative way at looking into things... especially in problem solving...

story 1: have you ever heard a story people trying to invent a proper 'pen' to be used in outer space? American spend millions in R&D and come up with a very 'canggih' expensive pen... the russian only use pencil...

story 2: a story at a soap factory. the problem was that some of the soap box coming out of the assembly line were empty (no soap inside). So, the factory management brainstorm for the solution. Some suggest to install an x-ray machine (just like the one at the airport) to scan every box. Some suggest to put a weighing machine along the assembly line. One of the line operator somehow said, why not just put a small 'fan' there... empty box would fly off the line... a simple solution yet very effective...:))

those are some of the thinking outside the box is all about.:">
doing something out of the norm...
looking out for solution differently from the traditional / conventional way. it is about going beyond what is expected of you...
the best of all is to solve the problem not up to the previous stage only, but solve it at the root cause...

ZTE Corporation (formerly Zhongxing Telecommunication Equipment Corporation)

i was join-interviewed by a manager from accenture and an ex-pat from exxonmobile before... i got the job without asking any question towards the end even though they asked me that...

if you really want to ask a question, ask smtg about the job itself or the company in general... but then, some would assume you do not do enough study of the job you apply or the company itself...
different interview ask for different strategy, i guess...
i hv attended an interview where around 8 interviewees were seated around a table as if in a meeting room... each one was assigned to represent a body that apply for a charity grant from the company... out of eight, the company can give to 5 only... the group was given an hour to discuss and decide on the matter...
the 4 panels will evaluate the group.
that was during the second stage interview...
it was a setup to find out some special attribute of the candidate...

i hate those kinda interview. :))
maybe u right. asking some questions might lead to bad impression from employer. thats where creativity in creating question will come in handy. and if we can answer the question creatively i think it would help too. one of my fren said, he argue with interview asking why he wanna leave the company he's now with, he answer we were chidren we were though to find a job to get a money not to get experience. then the interviewer was kinda startled and silent. :D

anyway there is still no update on the interview yet. i dont know if there will be any interview or not :(
