Ministry expands Free Health Check program coverage in 2026

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Health is expanding coverage of its Free Health Check (CKG) program in 2026 to achieve the target of 130 million participants this year.

"This year, we want the involvement of the private sector, institutions, workplaces, and colleagues from the TNI and Polri to provide free health check services," said Murti Utami, Director General of Disease Control at the Ministry of Health, after inspecting the CKG facility at TNI Headquarters in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Murti hopes the goal of examining around 130 million people through free health checks will be achieved.

Previously, Asnawi Abdullah, Head of the Ministry of Health's Health Development Policy Agency, said in Jakarta on Tuesday (February 10) that the CKG program's target for 2026 is 130 million active participants.

"Thank God, by 2025, we have successfully achieved our target of 70 million people utilizing President Prabowo's priority program," he said.

Asnawi noted that this target was set based on the one-year evaluation of the program since its launch on February 10, 2025. In 2025, around 25 million students participated in the CKG service.

According to Asnawi, this year's focus of the CKG program is not only on health checks but also on follow-up measures to address further findings from the examination.

He said evaluation results at the student level showed that the most common health problems detected were dental disease and hypertension. Going forward, services will focus on follow-up treatment and management of these conditions.
