Bitcoin now ranks as the fifth most valuable asset globally, surpassing Amazon and Google with a $2.158 trillion market cap.

On Wednesday, May 21, Bitcoin achieved a new all-time high of $109,487.23, pushing the largest cryptocurrency's market capitalization above $2.17 trillion. This accomplishment places Bitcoin as the fifth most valuable asset globally, surpassing Amazon and Alphabet while trailing only gold, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Apple.

At press time, Bitcoin was trading at $109,721.94, reflecting a 4.19% increase over the last day.

During this excitement, Michael Saylor, executive chairman of Strategy (previously MicroStrategy), posted enthusiastically, "If you're not buying bitcoin at the all-time high, you're leaving money on the table." The post quickly gained traction, sparking widespread discussion across Crypto X.

One notable response came from Quinten Francois, an analyst and opinion leader, who humorously replied, "You'll buy the top forever, aren't you, Michael?"

Saylor's statement echoes his perspective on Bitcoin as a long-term store of value, regardless of price. Strategy has been actively accumulating Bitcoin since early 2020, currently holding over 576,230 Bitcoins in its portfolio.

Saylor further emphasized the company's intent to continue purchasing Bitcoin, even at peak prices. Notably, Strategy has not sold any of its Bitcoin holdings. At press time, Strategy's share price was $419.57, showing a 0.66% rise over the last day.

While some critics suggest that new retail investors might be overextending themselves, many Bitcoin advocates view Saylor's comments as affirming institutional confidence in Bitcoin's future potential.
