Michael Saylor's Strategy (NASDAQ: MSTR) released its third-quarter earnings after market close on Oct. 30 with net income soaring to $2.8 billion. Its diluted earnings per share (EPS) were $8.42, beating analyst expectations of $8.15.
As of Oct. 26, 2025, Strategy reported holding 640,808 BTC, acquired for $47.44 billion at an average price of $74,032 per coin. The company said it achieved a 26% BTC yield year-to-date, generating $12.9 billion in Bitcoin gains amid the 2025 crypto bull market.
Looking ahead, the firm projects FY2025 operating income of $34 billion and net income of $24 billion, or $80 per share.
Total revenues were $128.7 million, a 10.9% increase year-over-year, compared to the third quarter of 2024. This also beat the projected $118.43 million for the quarter.
Widely recognized for its aggressive Bitcoin accumulation strategy, the company remains a closely watched proxy for crypto market sentiment.
Bitcoin holdings go up
Strategy achieved a Bitcoin yield of 26.0% year-to-date, nearing its full-year target of 30%. The company reported a BTC gain of 116,555 for the period, translating to a $12.9 billion Bitcoin dollar gain based on a BTC price of roughly $110,600 as of Oct. 24, 2025, compared with its full-year target of $20 billion.
Strategy’s digital assets totaled approximately 640,808 BTC, with an original cost basis of $47.4 billion and a market value of $70.9 billion, reflecting an average acquisition price of $74,032 per BTC and a current market price of $110,600.
Strategy reaffirmed its full-year 2025 Bitcoin key performance indicator (KPI) targets, citing strong execution and favorable capital market activity year-to-date. Assuming a year-end Bitcoin price of $150,000, the company maintained its goals of achieving a 30.0% BTC yield and a $20 billion Bitcoin dollar gain for 2025.
The company said it expects to meet these targets through a combination of preferred stock offerings, disciplined common stock issuance guided by market net asset value (mNAV) thresholds, and the continued expansion of its Bitcoin holdings, reinforcing its long-term strategy centered on digital asset accumulation.
Future guidance
Strategy reaffirmed its full-year 2025 earnings guidance, emphasizing its commitment to greater transparency regarding the combined impact of its Bitcoin holdings and capital markets activity on financial performance.
Assuming a year-end 2025 Bitcoin price of $150,000, the company projects operating income of approximately $34 billion, net income of about $24 billion, and diluted earnings per share (EPS) of roughly $80.
MSTR continues earnings streak
In the previous quarter, Strategy had delivered exceptional results, reporting earnings of $32.52 per share, surpassing the consensus estimate of –$0.09 by an impressive 35,447.83%. This marked a 4,378.95% improvement from the –$0.76 per-share loss recorded during the same period last year. The company also reported revenue of $114.49 million, slightly above expectations of $112.96 million, representing a 1.35% beat and a 2.73% year-over-year increase from $111.44 million.
Formerly known as MicroStrategy, the firm is recognized as the world’s first and largest Bitcoin treasury company, having adopted its Bitcoin accumulation strategy in 2020. Since then, it has continuously increased its holdings, treating BTC as its primary reserve asset and a long-term hedge against inflation.
Despite beating analyst expectations, MSTR closed 7.55% lower on Friday at $254.57.
