Ya doesn't make sense. Why do we need higher timeframes to have very much lower LookBacks??

Using that OLD version of SiteLite is no longer recommended.
Not because it does not also produce as excellent results as the NEW SiteLite III Alert, but because of the confusion caused for some users relating to adjusted lookbacks and their perceived belief that the higher timeframes are "Repainting".

The only way to represent a higher timeframe on a lower timeframe is with multiple blocks. These multiple blocks all change color in unison and can change color/direction more than once before the end of that higher timeframe bar close.... causing some to insist the indicator is "Repainting" into the past.

The lookback adjustments described in the quoted post above are compensating for the higher timeframes being represented by a lesser number of total bars in comparison to the lower timeframe.

The adjustments quoted 'equalize' the amount of total time the indicator is using to calculate it trend direction determination.
From there, subtle increases or decreases can be then made to lookback to give a broader view.
