Malaysia, November 19th, 2007–The ASUS Eee PC was officially released yesterday amid great fanfare and tremendous user response. More than 300 reporters attended the global launch event, which witnessed the official launch of this groundbreaking notebook. Just like the Wii of gaming consoles and the Ipod of MP3s, the Eee PC is becoming synonymous with the Internet.

Sales figures since the release have been astounding, with 200 pieces snapped up in 20 mins on Taiwan’s shopping channel, ETTV Shopping – averaging an Eee PC sold every 2 seconds! Other sales channels have also been bombarded with orders, like Yahoo, which started sales at 17:00, and ending sales 3½ minutes later at 17:03:30. That’s 50 Eee PCs in just 210 seconds – averaging 1 Eee PC sold every 4.2 seconds! Taiwanese 3C Company Tsann Kuen reported sales of 99 pieces of Eee PCs in 30 mins; while PC Home Online also reported sales of more than 200 Eee PCs shortly after it was publicly available.

The Eee PC’s hot response comes with great user expectation of the simple and portable device. It is focused on providing users with the most comprehensive Internet applications based on three Es: Easy to learn, work, play; Excellent Internet experience and Excellent on-the-Go.

Compact and highly portable at 7” and only 0.92kg in weight – providing an Internet experience like never before. It is also very easy to use, with two modes of intuitive graphic user interface design to accommodate both experienced and inexperienced PC users. The Eee PC is also Windows XP compatible, and comes with over 40 built-in applications to offer a dynamic computing experience to learn, work and play!

HDD & Ram dia bleh upgrade ke..?

RAM boleh upgrade.. dia guna ddr2 ram.. aku dah upgrade pon eeepc aku ni jd 1gb ram.. bleh run AutoCAD 2006, MapInfo, Google Earth, YM etc pada masa yg sama (multi-task) no problem at all... hdd takleh tukar.. sbb dia guna SSD.. tapi dia ada slot SD Card.. makna nya bleh cucuk sd card 2gb/4gb/8gb utk jadi hard disk tambahan.. senang nk guna utk online kat wifi hotspot .. kalo kat rumah, bleh guna external hard disk..
