Kota Jambi (ANTARA) - Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), A. M. Putranto, stated that the Jambi Province Forest and Land Fire Task Force (Satgas) was well prepared to support officers in the field.

"We emphasize to them, only the kitchen is allowed to have smoke, and nowhere else. Well, how to do it, that is our motto. Hopefully, Jambi will remain safe from forest and land fires," he remarked in Jambi, Monday.

Putranto, accompanied by Deputy for Emergency Response of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and the governor of Jambi, observed firsthand the personnel and equipment prepared by the Jambi Karhutla Task Force.

He noted that some of their equipment is quite new and modern. To this end, it is necessary to train and learn more deeply about its use. This way, if the equipment needs to be used suddenly, they will already know how to operate it.

"The readiness of equipment and personnel in facing the threat of forest and land fires is very important so that fire incidents can be minimized properly. Most importantly, all parties must be involved in carrying out this great mission," he emphasized.

At the same time, Jambi Governor Al Haris expressed his appreciation for the central government's concern for anticipating forest and land fires in Jambi Province.

Thanks to the team's cohesiveness, the Jambi Karhutla Task Force's prevention efforts have been quite effective. This is reflected in the decrease in fire cases, a result of strong cooperation among all involved agencies.

"We continue this existing cooperation, and we collaborate on all aspects. Hopefully, Jambi will have no forest and land fires," Al Haris stated.

Meanwhile, Acting Head of the Jambi Province Karhutla Task Force, Brigadier General TNI Heri Purwanto, submitted several recommendations to BNPB during a brief presentation. These recommendations addressed handling the threat of forest and land fires in Jambi Province.
