Datuk Chan Tien Ghee (TG) took over as chairman on 27 May 2010 after a meeting on the same day. Tan Sri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun is the "man with the money" behind Cardiff, and is worth £800m. The Malaysian businessman hopes to get Cardiff into the Premier League after their disappointing loss in the Play-Off final.[22] TG confirmed that Dave Jones will continue as the Cardiff City manager.[23] On August 17 Cardiff signed Wales captain Craig Bellamy on a season long loan from Manchester City, with the financial side being backed by the new owners. The club faced a potential winding-up order, however, after it was revealed that around £175,000 was still outstanding to Motherwell relating to the transfer of Paul Quinn.[24] Cardiff paid off half the amount owed, intending to pay the balance imminently.[25] At the end of 2011-12 season, Dave Jones was sacked[26] and four days later former Wales rugby player, Mike Hall rejoined the board as part of a deal with PMG.[27] On 17 June 2011, Watford boss Malky Mackay was appointed as manager of Cardiff.[28]
