Initial Public Offering (IPO)

semua banyak bg perhatian pada IHH.

ada sapa2 leh share pendapat/pandangan tentang OCK Group Berhad lak?

klu modal $285000 Tuan?

RM285k bersamaan dgn 1k lot atau 100,000 unit. Ok, tuan telah memilih nilai lot yg sewajarnya.

Sekiranya balloting berjaya, tuan mungkin mendpt 40-45k shj jika bersandarkan prestasi FGV dan Gas. Semakin ramai yg memohon 'oversubscribe', semakin kuranglah bahagian yg diterima. Cuma sekiranya bertuah cabutan berjaya di lot Bumi dan juga lot Awam, mungkin terima amaun 80-90k.

Among share sales planned for 2012 in Malaysia, Ananda Krishnan is considering a US$1.5 billion offering for the local operations of pay-TV broadcaster Astro All Asia Networks Plc, a company official said in March. Malakoff Bhd., the country’s largest independent power producer, is inviting proposals from banks to raise about US$1 billion, two people with knowledge of the matter said last month. -- Bloomberg

July 03, 2012
SINGAPORE, July 3 – Malaysian pay TV operator Astro All Asia Networks has hired Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan to advise on an initial public offering in Kuala Lumpur to raise at least US$1 billion (RM3.15 billion), three sources with direct knowledge of the deal said. One of the sources said the deal size could reach as much as US$1.5 billion.

Malaysian tycoon Ananda Krishnan plans to re-list Astro All Asia Networks by end-September in a deal that would give the pay-TV firm a market capitalisation of up to RM15 billion, sources said.
The firm is targeting a listing in the week starting Sept 17, one of the sources said.

CIMB and Maybank have already been hired for the deal, sources said. The banks either declined to comment or were not available to comment. – Reuters

IHH Healthcare IPO expected to see strong demand

SINGAPORE: Malaysia can soon boast of having two of the three largest initial public offerings (IPO) in the world this year.

Asia's largest hospital operator, IHH Healthcare, announced its US$2 billion dual listing on the Malaysia and Singapore stock exchanges on Tuesday, making it the world's third largest IPO.

Felda Global Venture's offering, the second largest this year after Facebook's, raised US$3.25 billion last week.

But analysts said the reasons behind Malaysia's current IPO boom are unique and may not be sustainable.

The strength of Malaysia's IPO market year to-date provides a stark contrast to other IPO markets in the region.

Against the backdrop of global economic uncertainty, several international companies, such as Graff Diamonds and Formula One, have shelved their multi-billion dollar IPO plans in Asian exchanges.

Apart from Felda and IHH, Malaysian cable television operator Astro All Asia Networks is said to be working towards a US$1.5 billion IPO in September.

But despite the recent high-profile megal listings, analysts believe the country's current lead as Asia's largest IPO market is unlikely to be sustainable in the long run.

Felda Global Venture is a leader in the palm plantation industry - a hot favourite amongst investors.

While IHH Healthcare is one of the few available plays on the healthcare sector in the region, where rising incomes are stimulating demand for better services.

Ng Kian Teck, lead analyst, SIAS Research, said: "The (demand for the) listings themselves are mostly from (within) Malaysia. Unless your country is very big, if not there will not be a very large supply of IPO lineups behind to go up on listings. And unless you see that the Malaysian market is able to generate or garner interest from overseas companies to go to Malaysia to get listings, then this trend will not be sustainable."

Analysts also said the conditions for Malaysia's current IPO boom are unique and localised and likely to be simply a one-off event.

Wong Sui Jau, general manager, Fundsupermart.com, Singapore, said: "Malaysia is seen as much more dominated by domestic investors type of market, as compared to markets like Singapore and Hong Kong, which has more in and out flows from overseas investors. So Singapore and Hong Kong tend to move a lot more in line with the external global environment."

Meanwhile, analysts are optimistic that a turnaround in the current weak IPO sentiment in other parts of Asia may be just around the corner, as global markets recover.
