Bursa Securities queries China Automobile as share price slips

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd queried China Automobile Parts Bhd on Thursday as its share price continues to slide far below its offer price of 68 sen when listed on Jan 30.

At 11.08am, it was down six sen to 46 sen. There were 31.23 million shares done.

The FBM KLCI was down 2.81 points to 1,611.33. Turnover was 293.13 million shares valued at RM453.41mil. There were 138 gainers, 292 losers and 246 counters unchanged.

Bursa Securities issued the unusual market activity query on Thursday due to the sharp fall in the price recently.

To recap, on its first day of listing on Jan 30, the company saw its share price surging by 88% to RM1.28 but ended its first listing day at 78 sen, just 10 sen above its offer price of 68 sen.
