Most often found in iceberg blue and green stripes, but can be brown. This phenomenon often occurs in the Southern Hemisphere.
Icebergs are ‘painted’ in a process called “reverse snow,” in which underwater ice crystals float to the surface. The microparticles of marine creatures such as krill, are stored in these crystals, which later became part of the iceberg.
