If you're one of those people who just can't get enough of the smell of fried chicken, then there's a bit of good news for you.

KFC has released a scented candle which apparently smells just like the crispy treat.

So now you can sit at home feeling hungry and craving fried food all day long.

Mmmmmmmmmm.

And if you've got a date coming over, what could be more romantic than the scent of the Colonel's top secret recipe?

Yep. It's probably not the best idea.

The candle appeared on the Facebook page of a New Zealand branch of the fried chicken shop as a competition prize for followers.

But it's not the first time a food-scented candle has been released, either.

Why does this keep happening? Is it not enough to just smell actual food - and have nicely-scented candles to fragrance your home?

In May last year, Greggs unveiled a scented candle which brings the whiff of bacon sandwiches as you light it, and it was quite the source of amusement on social media.
