Today, we will be posting the up and coming events on the economic calendar. As a reminder to our clients the following events will take place this up and coming week (2nd-6th September):
WEDNESDAY SEP 04: 04:30 (01:30 GMT)
Australian GDP for second quarter; expected to stay the same at 2.5%. Significant volatility is expected for AUD.
12:00 (09:00 GMT) European Union GDP for second quarter and Retail Sales for July; Volatility expected for EUR and GDP based currencies.
17:00 (14:00 GMT) Canadian Interest Rate decision and Bank of Canada Rate statement; expected to stay at 1%; volatility for Canadian dollar.
THURSDAY SEP 05: 06:00 (03:00 GMT)
Bank of Japan Interest Rate decision and monetary policy statement; Yen based currency pairs to be affected greatly.
14:00 (11:00 GMT) Bank of England Interest rate decision, expected not to change from .5%. Asset Purchase Facility is expected to remain the same at 375B. Volatility expected for British pound.
14:45 (11:45 GMT) Interest rate decision from European Central Bank. Monetary Policy Statement to follow at 15:30 (12:30 GMT); Euro to be affected.
15:30 (12:30 GMT) U.S. Jobless Claims for the week to be released; some volatility for dollar expected.
FRIDAY SEP 06: 08:00 (05:00 GMT)
Bank of Japan’s Monthly Economic Survey to be released. Volatility expected for yen based currencies.
11:30 (08:30 GMT) United Kingdom’s Consumer Inflation Expectations to be released, as well a Industrial and Manufacturing Production, both expected to fall by 1.7% and 0.7% respectively. Trade Balance figures are also released with an expected fall. Volatility for GDP.
15:30 (12:30 GMT) Non-Farm Payrolls for August to be released, expected to rise to 181K. Also Unemployment is expected to stay the same at 7.4%. Great volatility for dollar.
15:30 (12:30 GMT) Unemployment rate for Canada to be released. Volatility for Canadian dollar.
