Spreads

In Forex, all the currency pairs are quote in a two-way price, the ‘Bid’ price and the ‘Ask’ price. The ‘Bid’ is always lower and left to the ‘Ask’ price. ‘Bid’ is the price at which you will sell whereas ‘Ask’ is the price at which you will buy. The difference between the ‘Bid’ and the ‘Ask’ price is known as the Spread. Spread is the cost you will pay to complete a transaction. Low spread always give you advantage over Forex trading in FxCitizen.
Example :
For example, the above EURUSD quote indicates that ‘Bid’ price is 1.3917 and the ‘Ask’ price is 1.3919. The calculation for the spread is the ‘Ask’ deducted by the ‘Bid’. As the result, the spread for currency pair is 2 pips, means that it will cause you 2 pips to open either long or short position for this currency quote.
