Possible changes in margin requirements

Dear clients,

As you know on the 8th of November, 2016 Presidential Election will take place in the US. The result of the election may cause huge volatility, price gaps and lower liquidity.

Forex.ee informs that margin requirements for the trading instruments may be increased 5 times in the period starting from 3rd of November and ending at 14th of November. For example, if your current leverage is set to 1:500 it may be changed to 1:100 without prior notice.

Donald Trump won the White House after his victory during the presidential elections in the US. Supporters of Republicans, to which party the newly elected president belongs, rejoice. Democrats left the central streets and squares of the major American cities in tears – Hillary Clinton lost. Global markets most feared such a scenario on November 8 and 9. The assessment of political views and campaign promises of Trump was contradictory and uncertain, with high risks for the markets of many countries and investment strategies. In this regard, the very first exit polls and the results of voting in favor of Trump instantly affected the exchange rates, indices and commodity prices.
