Welcome to a discussion guided by experienced Forex traders here to share their valuable insights on trading tools and indicators. We aim to simplify the complex world of Forex tools and indicators so you can make better trading decisions.

Let’s start this discussion with:
  • Moving Averages for Trends: I depend on simple moving averages (SMA) and exponential moving averages (EMA) for spotting trends and potential entry and exit points.
  • Oscillators: Oscillators like the RSI and Stochastic Oscillator help me identify when assets are overbought or oversold.
  • Forex VPS: Forex VPS helps me maintain uninterrupted trading operations and running EAs. There are many Forex VPS providers available, I personally use Accuweb VPS.
  • Fibonacci Retracements: Fibonacci retracement levels are excellent for identifying potential trend reverses.
  • Tools for Safety: Risk management is important. Learning how tools like the Average True Range (ATR) help determine your position size and stop-loss levels.

Together, we'll uncover what truly matters in Forex trading.

I like to trade on support and resistance levels, sloping trend lines. I also use candlestick patterns and technical analysis figures as confirmation of signals.

When I first started trading Forex, I was overwhelmed by the number of tools and indicators available. I tried everything — MACD, RSI, Bollinger Bands, moving averages — but nothing seemed to consistently work. The turning point came when I stopped relying on too many indicators and focused on mastering just a few.

One expert I followed recommended combining RSI with support and resistance zones for better entries. I started using RSI (14) mainly to spot overbought or oversold conditions, and then confirmed signals with simple price action. It felt like things finally “clicked.” I also learned that indicators should support your analysis, not be the analysis.

For tools, I now rely heavily on TradingView for charting, and I use an economic calendar to track news events. Keeping it simple but consistent has made a huge difference in my results.

strip the charts down to just a couple of basics and your head actually clears up. used to have MACD and bollinger bands crammed all over the screen till my brain fried, now it's pretty much just moving averages and a few key s/r levels. tools just gotta do the job, tradingview open plus an economic calendar and you're miles better off than staring at noise all day.
