EUR-USD 1.4653. Market should meet resistance at 1.4702. We expect then an extended move down to 1.4555 -1.4503 area.

USD-CHF 1.1004. It should trade higher to 1.1073 while 1.0955 or 1.0921 offers support. Stop loss below 1.0887 zone.

USD-JPY 107.63. It may attempt a test higher to 107.78 after which weakness may set it to a drift down to below 106.39 limit.

GBP-USD 1.9635. Current upmove should continue up to 1.9727 or 1.9820. Any correction should find support in 1.9629 - 1.9583 zone.

EUR-CHF 1.6126. It may meet resistance in 1.6126 - 1.6131 zone for a drift down to 1.6080 zone, after which bounce to 1.6154 is anticipated.

EUR-JPY 157.72. It should test higher than 158.70. Entry point are at 157.01 and 156.51. A break of 155.31 is bearish.

EUR-GBP 0.7462. Market should not go lower than 0.7408. After this move down it should go up to 0.7451 - 0.7493 area.

AUD-USD 0.8796. It may meet resistance in 0.8796 - 0.8803 zone for a drift down to 0.8776 zone, after which bounce to 0.8832 is anticipated.

USD-CAD 1.0252. Current rise seems to be over near 1.0268 or 1.0306 for a retracement towards 1.0230 - 1.0203 area.

GBPUSD Weekly Technical Analysis

GbpUsd traded between two important support and resistance levels for the most part of the week, after bouncing from the 1.9550 zone it was rejected by the resistance area above 1.9700 and this scenario repeated 3 times during this past week; only On Thursday the pair managed to spike up toward the 1.9800 level but it lacked strength to stay there and fell back to close the week pips away from the 1.9550 base. A continuation of Friday's move in the next few days will certainly confirm the bearish trend for the last couple of months, a break below 1.9550 will open up the road to 1.9180 as the main bearish target and support level. Conversely a bounce from the 1.9550 that will get the pair trading above 1.9600 will force us once again in the above mentioned range and we will have to look at 1.9670 as the next short term target. Same as in the EurUsd case the pairs trading volume on Monday will be affected by the US holiday and to some extent we could witness some erratic price action or a very mellow day.

EUR/USD's fall from 1.4921 extends further to as low as 1.4389 today. At this point, intraday bias remains on the downside as long as 1.4508 minor resitsance holds. As discussed before, fall from 1.4921 is currently treated as part of a consolidation pattern that started at 1.4966 and is expected to extend further to retest 1.4309 support before completion. On the upside, above 1.4508 will turn intraday outlook consolidative first but recovery should be limited below 1.4715 resistance and bring another fall.

In the bigger picture, with 1.3581 resistance turned support remains intact, medium term up trend from 1.1639 is still in force. Regardless of internal structure, it is treated as resumption of long term up trend from 0.8223 (00 low) to 1.3668 (04 high) and has just failed 61.8% projection of 0.8223 to 1.3668 from 1.1639 at 1.5004 target which overlaps with 1.5 psychological resistance. Having said that, the current price actions from 1.4966 is treated as consolidation to this long term rally. That is current fall from 1.4921 should be contained by 1.4309 and bring up trend resumption. Though, above 1.4715 resistance is first needed to signal that fall from 1.4921 has completed. Secondly, sustained trading above 1.5 key resistance is needed to confirm the medium term up trend has resumed and bring rally to next projection target of 100% projection at 1.7048. Otherwise, more choppy consolidation could be seen inside established range of 1.4309 and 1.4966.

GBP/JPY Daily Outlook

GBP/JPY's recent decline continues today, reaching as low as 204.74 so far and is now pressing short term channel support. At this point, intraday bias remains on the downside as long as 207.29 minor resistance holds. As discussed before, the whole fall from 251.09 is expected to extend to next downside target of 200 psychological support. On the upside, above 207.29 will indicate that an intraday low is formed and bring consolidation, with risk of recovering 4 hours 55 EMA (now at 211.02). But upside should be limited by 212.44 resistance and bring decline resumption.

In the bigger picture, an important medium term top is formed at 251.09 after completion of a medium term head and should top pattern (ls: 241.47, h: 251.09, rs: 241.35), with the medium term trend line support taken out too. In other words, the whole up trend from 148.19 should have ended at 251.09 already. Last week's close below 100% projection of 251.09 to 219.32 from 241.35 at 209.58 confirms underlying downside momentum is still strong and will encourage deeper decline to psychological support at 200, which overlaps with next medium term fibo support of 50% retracement of 148.19 (006) to 251.09 (07 high) at 199.64. The current fall will probably extend further to test long term rising trend line (129.32 to 148.19, now at 173.79).

On the upside, above 217.44 will indicate fall from 241.35 has possibly made a short term bottom. Short term outlook will be turned neutral in such case and more consolidation would be seen before another fall. Nevertheless, break above 230.31 resistance is needed to be the first alert that fall from 251.09 has completed. Otherwise, medium term outlook will remain bearish.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

After mild recovery, EUR/JPY's fall resumes today and dives further to as low as 152.11 so far. At this point, intraday bias remains on the downside as long as 153.81 minor resistance holds. As discussed before, fall from 166.64 is expected to extend further to 161.8% projection of 166.64 to 159.73 from 162.27 at 151.09, with prospect of further decline to 149.72 medium term support. On the upside, above 153.81 will turn intraday outlook consolidative first. But recovery should be limited below 157.77 resistance and bring fall resumption.

In the bigger picture, as discussed before, the corrective nature of the rise from 159.67 to 166.64 suggests that further downside should be seen, at least in near term. Also, note that, firstly, EUR/JPY has taken out long term channel support (now at 153.68). Secondly, firm break of 149.27 will also complete a medium term double top pattern (tops at 168.93 and 167.72). Decisive break of 149.72 support will indicate that whole long term up trend from 88.97 (98 low) has completed and bring much deeper medium term decline to 143.60 support first.

However, strong rebound from 149.27, followed by a break of 158.67 resistance will indicate firstly that fall from 166.64 has completed. Secondly, price actions from 168.92 is probably just forming a consolidation pattern. In such case, the long term uptrend remains intact and retest of 168.93 should eventually be seen.
