Yes. The Malaysian government has announced that it is moving from the current B10 biodiesel blend (10% palm-based biodiesel, 90% petroleum diesel) to B15 (15% biodiesel). The transition was initially planned to start with B12 before reaching B15, and implementation began in stages from 1 June 2026.


B15 means:

• B10 = 10% biodiesel + 90% diesel
• B15 = 15% biodiesel + 85% diesel

The government’s stated goals are to:

• Reduce dependence on imported diesel
• Improve energy security
• Increase domestic use of Malaysian palm oil
• Lower transport-sector carbon emissions

Most modern diesel vehicles are expected to be compatible with B15, but owners of older diesel vehicles should check their manufacturer’s recommendations. The rollout is being done gradually to avoid disruptions to fuel supply and logistics.


The government has also indicated that future increases to B20 and even higher blends may be considered, subject to infrastructure readiness and market conditions.

In case B15 will make the engine performance drop a bit, 440Nm is so big, we will not notice the difference if it goes down to 350Nm cause by the B15

Ford vehicles equipped with 2.0L Single-Turbo and 2.0L Bi-Turbo engines are fully compatible with biodiesel blends up to 20% (B20) with the specification standards of B20 biodiesel fuel being promoted by the Malaysian government. These include the recently launched variants of the Ford Ranger pickup truck, Ford Everest mid-size SUV, and Ford Ranger Raptor performance pickup truck.

Ranger and Everest vehicles equipped with a 2.2L and 3.2L Duratorq diesel engine will need a B20 compliant fuel filter installed at any Ford authorised Ford service centres. A one-time installation is required for the fuel filter and bracket assembly, while the fuel filter element would require a change every 10,000km. Alternatively, customers may also opt to use diesel with lower biodiesel content, such as Diesel EURO5 with B7 (Biodiesel 7%) blend, which are available at fuel pumps.

Bergantung kepada penggunaan..Kalau daily drive boleh guna B15 tapi setahun sekali tukar diesel filter, intake manifold dan minyak enjin..Diesel injector cleaner pun kena guna..Kalau weekend user kena pakai B7.Sifat biodiesel sawit ni suka tarik air (lembapan). B15 ni berisiko tinggi menyebabkan kandungan air dalam tangki meningkat. Air adalah musuh utama injector. Dan diesel injector kalau nak tukar tersangat mahal
