Installing Garmin Mobile XT on Nokia N96, N95 & E71.

Here’s how to install Garmin Mobile XT on your Nokia Device:
1. Extract RAR file on your Desktop or in whatever drive you want to.
2. Connect your N96 (via mass storage) or memory disk to your computer and make sure it’s detected by your computer.
3. Now, run the downloaded files on the computer, one after another, in this order:
a. v4.xx.xxx Support File,
b. v4.xx.xxx Basemap File
c. GMXT v5.00.10
When prompted to choose storage space, always choose the phone’s memory.
4. Disconnect phone memory from computer. It’s time to configure Garmin on your phone. Go to your phone’s File Manager >Garmin >Applications >Symbian >RES >GarminMobileXT.sis and install the .sis
If you can’t find GarminMobileXT.sis, check the root directory, it should be there. Install the .sis as per normal.
5. After that, go to Applications> run Garmin Mobile XT. It won’t connect to GPS satellite yet, so just ignore it.
6. Go to Tools/Settings then go bellow & click “About” & note down your ESN No & then exit Garmin.
7. Now we have to unlock Garmin Mobile XT so open Garmin Unlock Generator & enter your IMEI & ESN No as shown bellow.
8. Copy the device unlock code and paste it in a notepad, then save the file as SW.UNL (make sure that the file name should be SW.UNL & not SW.UNL.TXT)
9. Reconnect your phone/memory to your computer.
10. Copy the SW.UNL file into \Garmin folder
11. Then, copy gmapsupp.img file into \Garmin folder (you have to unlock your map then only you can use it, just follow the instruction as shown below)
12. Copy the map unlock code and paste it in a notepad, then save the file as GMAPSUPP.UNL (make sure that the file name should be GMAPSUPP.UNL & not GMAPSUPP.UNL.TXT )
13. Copy the GMAPSUPP.UNL file into \Garmin folder
14. Disconnect your phone from your computer.
15. Go to Applications >Garmin Mobile XT >Settings >System >Remote GPS >Select ‘Use Attached/Built-in GPS’ >Enable and it’s all done.
16. Wait for satellite signal to strengthen and then you can start navigating around various places with confidence!
Green light means good to go!
