People mostly prefer ECN to STP accounts, are ECN accounts better than STP? Then how?

ECN (Electronic Communication Network) and STP (Straight Through Processing) are both forex trading protocols that connect traders directly with liquidity providers. The main difference lies in how orders are executed. ECN brokers aggregate and match buy/sell orders from various participants, including banks and individual traders, offering a more dynamic and transparent market.

ECN brokers allows you to directly trade on the market but STP brokers are quite unlikely.

People often prefer ECN accounts to STP because ECN accounts provide direct access to other participants in the forex markets, offering tighter bid/ask spreads and more transparency. However, whether an ECN account is better than an STP depends on the trader's strategy and needs, as STP accounts can offer faster execution and less slippage.

The choice between ECN and STP depends on your trading style, goals and preferences. ECN is better suited for active traders who want maximum transparency and minimal spreads, while STP may be more convenient for less active traders. For example, I like trading on an ECN account because of the instant execution and minimal spreads at my broker.
