Design Manager

Responsibilities

• To manage the consultans’ deliverables and submission to authorities
• Liaison with Government Authorities / Clients on design requirements
• To liaise and support the other department on technical issues for timely completion of project
• To liaise with authorities, design consultants /ICE and MRT Corp on the technical issues related to design
• To ensure the consultants’ designs meet the Employer’s and authorities requirements
• To manage the reviewer’s DRR to ensure timely comment to the consultants
• To comply and adhere to all matters relating to the Project QSHE Procedures
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time

Requirements

1. Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or its equivalent
2. Professional / Chartered Engineering is preferred
3. Minimum 10 years of working experience with technical knowledge in design, fabrication and construction steel structures, steel & building structures.
4. Minimum 5 years working experience in construction field
5. Familiar with infra / highway / bridges projects
6. Good planning and project implementation skills
7. Working experience in commercial software programmes such as MS Office, MS Project, Engineering Design Software, Autocad and etc
8. Able to work independently with minimum supervision; self motivated and a team player
