Design Manager

Responsibilities

• To manage the consultans’ deliverables and submission to authorities
• Liaison with Government Authorities / Clients on design requirements
• To liaise and support the other department on technical issues for timely completion of project
• To liaise with authorities, design consultants /ICE and MRT Corp on the technical issues related to design
• To ensure the consultants’ designs meet the Employer’s and authorities requirements
• To manage the reviewer’s DRR to ensure timely comment to the consultants
• To comply and adhere to all matters relating to the Project QSHE Procedures
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time

Requirements

• Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or its equivalent
• Professional / Chartered Engineering is preferred
• Minimum 10 years of working experience with technical knowledge in design, fabrication and construction steel structures, steel & building structures.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in construction field
• Familiar with infra / highway / bridges projects
• Good planning and project implementation skills
• Working experience in commercial software programmes such as MS Office, MS Project, Engineering Design Software, Autocad and etc
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision; self motivated and a team player
