SYMPHONY HOUSE BERHAD NAMED ON THE 2008 GLOBAL OUTSOURCING 100LIST

Job Title: DATA PROCESSOR
Department/ Division: OPERATIONS
Reports to: DATA PROCESSING TEAM LEADER
Job Purpose:
Provide an effective and efficient service to customers by processing all incoming work from customers or business partners within set service level agreements; ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
· Use agreed procedures to receive, assess and take appropriate action to ensure all customer records are registered, amended, updated and maintained correctly.
· Record customer requests using the appropriate systems and procedures to provide accurate reference documentation.
· Ensure business processes, guidelines and policies are followed to provide consistency within the business.
· Pro-actively seek information to ensure that full briefings are received on new products, services and procedures to effectively carry out the role of data processor.
· Communicate within a team environment in order to improve operational effectiveness by generating ideas and responding to change.
· Play an active role in supporting colleagues, customers and the business in order to continuously improve operational effectiveness.
· Proactively seek feedback on personal performance from Team Leader.
· Provide support for the team leader when requested as part of own development.
· Assist other teams within the department as required to meet the requirements of the business.
· Undertake other projects and activities as specified by Line Manager.
· Comply with the information security policy and procedures.
· Comply with all regulatory procedures applicable to the role.
· Report any information security incident, weakness or malfunction.
Key Performance Indicators:
· Achievement of agreed service levels and personal objectives
· No unjustified complaints in respect of self.
· Demonstrate compliance with the Information Security policy and procedures.
· Demonstrate compliance with all regulatory procedures applicable to the role.
Nature and Scope:
· Daily liaison with data preparation assistants to obtain work to be processed.
· Feedback to team leader with system performance issues.
· Decision-making will be daily and predominantly in interpreting customer requests.
· Interaction will be with peers, T/L’S (CC Managers).
