I try to put in the team the players with the most quality and Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka have a lot of quality and they have done very well together.

'The position of Anelka depends on his feeling about the game. He likes to move, sometimes in a left position, sometimes in a right one and sometimes behind. I never give him a precise position on the pitch. I want him to move how he wants to.

Didier Drogba will be free to take his place in Chelsea’s starting line-up for Saturday’s blockbuster with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Ivory Coast international was under a slight injury cloud with a minor knee problem which kept him out of the 7-1 demolition of Aston Villa but Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed his availability for the top of the table fixture.

"Drogba had a little problem at the start of the week and was out for two days because he had kick on his knee,” he told Sky Sports News.

"He was on the treatment table with (Yuri) Zhirkov but they have trained today very well. We don't have a problem with the other players.

"We have trained very well this week, we have had all the week to train. The team is fit.”
