Brazil's teenage talent Neymar has decided to stay at Santos despite a multi-million euro offer from Premier League champions Chelsea.

The 18-year-old forward said on Thursday he had renewed his contract with Santos for five years on a higher salary and with a 10 million euro ($12.84 million) increase in the value of his buy-out clause to 45 million euros.

"The final decision is always the player's. I spoke to my dad and my family and we decided to stay, I'm happy, it's what I want," Neymar, who emerged at Santos last season as 'the new Robinho', told a news conference.

The teenager was overlooked for the World Cup by former Brazil coach Dunga but made a promising debut in a 2-0 win over the United States in a friendly in New Jersey last week under his country's new manager Mano Menezes

Sogndal’s Leciejewski becomes shock Chelsea target

Sogndal goalkeeper Piotr Leciejewski has become a shock target for Chelsea according to recent reports.

The 25-year old Polish stopper is beginning to impress for his Norwegian club, who have big wraps on him, and it is believed that Chelsea scouts have been monitoring his progress.

Carlo Ancelotti is looking for back-up for Petr Cech as he is not entirely happy with Henrique Hilario and Ross Turnbull and has decided to cast an eye over Leciejewski who comes with a high rating from Sogndal chairman Egil Mundal.

"What I can say is that Piotr has got an enormous potential,” he told Bergens Tidende.

"We know it's a question of time before he will play on a bigger stage."
