It has been a while since we last updated and we know we've been pretty quiet the past week. However, there have been a lot of stuff happening behind the scenes.
So here's a big fat juicy update for all of you.
1. New script
Beta testing has officially over and we thank you very much for your participation. If you have reported a bug, we have received it, even if we might not have replied. We are all busy with many things, including the fixing of bugs, so rest assured that I have read all your tickets and will fix the stuff. The next phase will be the final phase before the actual implementation of the script. There are still some things that need to be done, such as more staff testing and the vetting of the conversation process between the old and the new script. We will let you know the exact date of implementation once we known of it.
2. Payment for Premium / Card
Payments next week will be pushed and therefore sped up for both standard and premium members. We hope you will appreciate our extra efforts.
In the past month, we have paid over $400,000 to our members. Yours will be coming soon!
3. Bux.to Shop
There will be a major change to the shop, both the layout + more products and designs available for ordering.
4. Issues with Reg.net regarding double charges / reversal orders
The current script we are using does not have the ability for us to get our refs refunded after you get your money refunded. If there is a reversal / chargeback, unfortunately to us, it means no money has been paid for those refs and we have no other choice but to suspend that account. As stated in previous announcements -

All these will be handled correctly in the new script (it's been tried and tested and proven successful). We will be able to remove refs / premium status if there are problems with the payment without any risk of your account's suspension, but at the moment, we cannot do anything with the current script and you'll have to bear with it for a while longer. We are aware that members trying to get advantages and claiming back the money giving different sort of reasons, we cannot confirm the validiity of these cases. Therefore the accounts stays suspended as they are while the money you paid for returned to you.
5. Trademark
We have recently obtained a registered trademark for Bux.to. Our registration number is -
006810238
Since it only recently got approved, it will take some time for it to be listed on the official trademark status check sites. This is a great step forward for Bux.to.
6. "Amazing Sunday" Promotion
More ads and special offers will be available every Sunday starting from today. Today we had served more 50% more ads than usual. By next Sunday we will have special offers as well. Look forward to it! smile.gif
7. Advertising for Public Viewership
If you're planning to advertise with us using the Public View option. Please make sure your site can handle the traffic for maximum views from our members. We had a problem today with one of the Public Ads (100,000 views) soon after we put it up, one of our staff noticed it while viewing the ad that the site did not load due to high traffic. We had to stop that ad (it was reaching 35,000 after running just for 30 minutes) and move it to Premium-only for the benefit of the advertiser.

9. MalwareDomains Issue
If you still haven't heard, MalwareDomains (from which Opera obtains its fraud list from) recently listed Bux.to as a website that distributes Malware. Upon contacting MalwareDomains, we have resolved the issue and MalwareDomains has issued a statement in our favour - "Confirmed False Positive: bux.to"
This issue will be fixed in future releases of Opera.
For all those who are saying "See! Bux.to is a SCAM!!!" - check this out. We've shown you that we're NOT.
10. Bux.to Academy Introduction
Main project idea: We look to provide financial backing for development ideas, start-ups, and projects to help foster a better World Wide Web.

We have been negotiating with a leading international bank and will soon have our very own payment processor. Negotiations started since the end of January when PayPal changed its policies. We acquired PayBux.com in early April. We are not able to release any more information at this point in time. More details to come when there are more solid confirmations regarding features and date. For now, it's a surprise! smile.gif
12. Changes in applying for Bux card in the new script
Starting from the implementation of the new script, the minimum amount of credit you need to have in your Bux.to account is $20. (You must also be a premium member first) The $20 will be deducted from your Bux.to account when you apply for the card, but you will receive that $20 credit inside the card. Cashout will only be completed if the amount is $75 or more.
In summary:
1. You need at least $20 on your Bux account balance to apply for the Bux card.
2. When card arrives, you will have $20 in card already for use immediately.
13. Demotion / Firing of Staff
I'm sure many of you asked - why was Leon64 demoted from Admin to Moderator?
The answer is simple - because SPIDERWOMAN was more competent.
Then why was Leon64 demoted further from Moderator to just a normal member?
The answer is simple again - because he betrayed Bux.to.
What about VinnyB?
VinnyB submitted false documents to us and is jam packed with lies to the brim. We see no more reason to trust him or any of his antics.
Both users are involved in the fake SPIDERWOMAN defamation email. Check out this thread for our official announcement on the closure of the matter.
Interestingly enough, these people are also now admin at another PTC site. We have contacted the admin of that PTC site regarding this issue.
