Opening a new country is exciting. As a business planner, it’s surprising how much satisfaction I can get from even a single person joining NETELLER from a new country—compared to the 1000s of global NETELLER account sign ups that happen every day.

After the IT team opens up new countries, I watch each of them very closely, waiting for that first member to sign up. After the initial wave of new members, I spend the following weeks monitoring how many more sign ups and payments happen as the marketing and communications team spreads the news online.

Even after opening up eight new countries in 2008, I still get that same good feeling seeing members join. It really matters to me to know that we are providing a much needed online payment service in many countries where the options may be limited. Now I’m working to expand the list of countries even further.

The newest supported countries are:

•Macedonia
•Malaysia
