5250 points in one week trading

Dear Bernard,

I can see that all trades made by Excalibur is 0.01 lot. Even if I have 1000 0r 100000, it still open 0.01 lot. Can change the lot size or MM based on % risk?

Is there any stop loss?

Can it be run in other TF like 1M, 5M, 1Hr etc?

Excalibur V3 can be run on any time frame. The longer the time frame the more accurate it appears but trades a lot less.
The final version when released will allow the end user the options of changing many settings including risk management and money management.

Hello,
why does it always open the same order at the same time with the same currency pair again?
And it always opens the order with 0.0 stoploss and 0.0 Take profit on an Alpari UK demo account.

I have tested it on smaller accounts. As long as you do not have 10 currencies running there should be no problem. It will run on a live account with as little as 250 dollars if we only trade a few currencies.

Been working away all day and night here.

I cannot thank everyone involved in this project, for the information, and PM's I have received here.

As each currency has it's own unique characteristics, it would be impossible, I would imagine, to have one EA, that could actually trade every currency, without some specified setting related to each one.

Using the information that has been currently supplied to me, I have programmed a separate Excalibur V3 for each different currency. Not all yet, but several Major ones, and after back testing them, darn I hate doing that, but the difference is very exciting, as I have seen it.

I will upload the newest versions early next week.

Please continue to upload your results, even if there are disastrous. I need all the information I can get my hands on, to attempt to make Excalibur V3 as reliable as possible.

Many members have requested the availability to change the lot size. As such I have opened the code a bit to allow this, and the money management settings as well. Be careful with these settings.

We are not trying to trade 5 full lots at a time here, and blow away accounts. A demo account should be traded as if it were actually our own money.
A trader needs to feel the emotion that comes with wins and losses, and master them. Emotion kills more accounts than the actual trade itself.

Trading consistently with smaller lots allows more room for error and as such more room for profit. Making 10 cents a pip compared to 10 dollars a pip might seem frustrating to the inexperienced trader, however making pips is what we are here for.

As an account grows, a trader then has the opportunity to increase the lot size, and of course the risk.

Personally, I do not care how long a trade is open especially if it is giving me positive return on the “swap” and once it recovers, they always do, I gain this interest as well.

No matter what there are always losses, we cannot expect wins all the time. As long as we can keep above the 70 % win ratio we come out ahead in the long run, and yes this business is for those that are in it for the long run.

Patience will pay out here so once again I thank all those that are participating in this project.

Keep up the great work and thanks to everyone here.

I have almost completed the e-mail alert option as well.

Bernard,

I have problem opening the manual. It says error : Impossible to extract the project files. I haev ensure that there is a *.exe behind.

I am using Vista Home Basic.

Can the manual be in a word document or something?

Anyway, from reading the thread, I think I know what to do.

So far, I have an account wtih Alpari. Opened the following :

1) EuroUSD M30 attached with the EA (magic number 80700)
2) EuroUSD H1 attached with the Summaryreport EA
3) USDJPY M30 attached with the EA (magic number 80701)
4) USDJPY H1 attached with the Summaryreport EA
5) EuroGBP M30 attached with the EA (magic number 80702)
6) EuroGBP H1 attached with the Summaryreport EA

So 6 charts on my screen. Let me know if this is correct.

Thanks

Excalibur_v3 Manual.exe This is the current instruction manual. Not the best but a work in progress.

Excalibur_Filters.ex4 This file goes into the /indicators folder and Excalibur V3 uses it to determine its trades. You do not need to attach it to any chart.

Excalibur_V3.ex4 is the Excalibur V3 EA and goes into the /experts folder. It can be used on any currency and work best so far with a 15 m time frame.

SummaryReportInPoints.ex4 goes into the /experts folder also and has to be placed on any chart other than one you are attempting to trade on. You can open as an example tow EUR/USD charts and place this file on one and the Excalibur_V3 on the other. This EA will write a summary file to your /files folder and update this file every time a trade is closed keeping tack of all losses and wins. We need this file posted at the end of the week so we can see the results from different brokers. It would also be interesting if some members used different time frames so we could compare the results. When posting the summary file located in the files folder please state the time frame and broker you are using. It will be interesting to see the results of other time frames other than the recommended 15m

Good setup but you only need to attach the Summary EA to one chart only. Any chart and 15m is good for the summary ea.

Remove the following.

USDJPY H1 attached with the Summaryreport EA
EuroGBP H1 attached with the Summaryreport EA

The summary ea will read the trades and report to a txt file and only needs to be attached to one chart.
