Registration for Phase II of the Internship Program officially opened

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian government opened registration on Thursday for Phase II of its 2026 National Internship Program, or MagangHub, with applications accepted through September 8.

Manpower Minister Yassierli said the program aims to expand access to internships while providing job seekers with practical experience aligned with business, industry and government needs.

Participant selection will run from September 9 to 15, with results scheduled for September 18. Selected participants are expected to start internships on September 21.

Yassierli said Phase II is part of a broader goal to enroll 150,000 participants this year, with each batch allocated 50,000 places.

The ministry is focusing not only on enrollment but also on the quality of internships, aiming to equip participants with practical and relevant workplace skills.

The Ministry of Manpower will ensure the program is conducted transparently, orderly and in compliance with applicable regulations, Yassierli said.

He said clear technical guidelines are essential to keep implementation aligned with program objectives and provide consistent standards for organizers and interns.

The ministry will also maintain strict oversight to protect the program’s integrity and ensure participants receive meaningful workplace experience.

Yassierli encouraged participants to use the program to gain direct workplace exposure, develop skills and strengthen their readiness for the labor market.
