Myriad Partners With Trust Wallet to Launch First In-Wallet Prediction Markets

Myriad has teamed up with Trust Wallet to launch the world’s first natively integrated in-wallet prediction market experience.

Through Trust Wallet’s new Predictions tab, users can trade on Myriad’s prediction markets without leaving the wallet, giving them a “simple, one-click way to trade event outcomes using the assets they already hold.”

The integration “marks a huge moment” for prediction markets, Myriad President and co-founder Farokh Sarmad said. “Trust Wallet is where tens of millions of people begin and manage their crypto experience, so bringing Myriad directly into that flow makes on-chain predictions accessible in a way the industry has never seen before.”

Prediction markets represent “a new way of combining social expression with digital footprint and value,” Trust Wallet CEO Eowyn Chen noted. “We wanted to make that available to users, so that they can grow together in their on-chain journeys with Trust Wallet.”

For users, getting started with Myriad on Trust Wallet is as simple as going to the in-app Predictions tab inside the Swaps page. “They can see all the markets that Myriad and partners have provided, and then directly take a position, yes or no,” said Chen. “I just tested out the product, it’s in and out in one second.”

The integration with Myriad was “very straightforward,” she added. “We love to move fast, and Myriad is a great partner to move fast with.”

Prediction Market Myriad Hits $100M Milestone, Growing 10x in Three Months

Myriad, launched by Decrypt's parent company Dastan, has grown rapidly in recent weeks, having hit a milestone of $100 million in cumulative trading volume, an increase of 10x over three months. That illustrates the “massive demand” for the sector, according to Myriad co-founder and CEO Loxley Fernandes, a position reinforced by the recent multi-billion dollar valuations of Polymarket and Kalshi.

Prediction markets are based on “more than just the trading component,” or the technology underpinning them, said Chen; instead, their success is based on the content.

“What are the positions, what are the views, what are the events that people find interesting and want to engage with?” she said, adding that prediction markets’ value proposition will be based on factors including society, people, narratives, and attention. Accordingly, Myriad’s close integration with media platforms provides it a “competitive advantage,” Chen added.

Trust Wallet plans further prediction market integrations, Chen noted. She stated that, “People shouldn’t need five apps to express what they think will happen next,” adding that, “Our vision is to unlock access safely and give users the simplest way to participate in these emerging markets.”

Pant, a Polymarket seed investor, sees this rising popularity as a sign of traders recognizing the brand-new financial markets these venues can unlock.

In contrast, prediction markets intend to financialize events of all types. Previously, Pant explains, “the average individual investor could not easily bet on whether the Fed will cut rates, whether a certain politician will win in a particular market, or even whether Tesla stock will go up or down, depending on where they live.”

“Now they can.”

What’s Next

New categories in the prediction market space are continually developing. One of these gaining popularity is “mention markets” where bets are placed on what celebrities or other public figures say. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong recently read through a list of words in a market for him on his company’s earnings call; crypto social media engaged with it vigorously.

The next frontier for prediction markets: Bringing in users to crypto who don’t know they are using crypto.

“I think what's most powerful about Polymarket is that they don’t even carry obvious crypto branding,” said Vincent Manglietto. The idea is that if Pentagon-area pizza joints get busy, it might mean some event might be cooking up as employees are too busy to worry about food and just order pizza.

A Billion? Really?

The holy grail for crypto enthusiasts is to get billions of users adopting blockchain. So can on-chain prediction markets really bring in crypto’s next billion?

Currently, these blockchain-based prediction markets are only cultivating hundreds of thousands of users weekly. It’s still early, but this market and the number of venues will likely grow.

This growth will likely be due to the number of markets available, noted Pod’s Agrawal. “Basically, any kind of information that exists on the internet, or could exist in the future, can become the basis for a market.” More markets to predict on could become akin to new tokens building fresh narratives that often bring users to blockchain.

And blockchain infrastructure is improving so that users may not even have to know crypto is being used on the back-end of these prediction markets. As Coinbase’s Brian Armstrong said on X: “In 10 years, many more people will use crypto, but they may not know they're using crypto.”
