How It Works
EqPeak is an online Finance Education System to increase
financial literacy and understanding in a virtual classroom
environment. It is crucial to build up a training area where the
knowledge of and understanding about finance is provided without
risking one’s savings. Customers/students may buy in with as
little as €50 to participate.
This gives them access to a range of free products, including
some where they need to use credits to learn. There is no such
thing as a free lunch, and EqPeak teaches this!
EqPeak has a range of products like the EqPeak Quiz, where you
can test your acquired knowledge, the EqPeak Forum, where you can
participate in one or more debates, the EqPeak Readers Corner,
where you can read and search through short, easy-to-read
articles on finance or the virtual Stock Market Place, EqPeak
SMP, which is a virtual exchange where you can practice while
simultaneously learning how the real stock exchange works and how
stock trading is carried out.
It is an Internal Virtual Stock Market, where shares can be
traded independently of locations and time frame. It is the only
way to really increase one’s skill regarding the ins and outs in
the real market.
EqPeak will publish real proposals from time to time in EqPeak
Projects, where students are invited to gather information,
discuss it at EqPeak Forum, after which a poll/vote will be
opened where EqPeak, independently of the students, will make
real purchases on their behalf. Information about the different
projects and developments within it will be shared with EqPeak
SMP members.
There will be no risk to the student's holdings, but it will make
them take information gathering more seriously!
To get started: Choose the level you want to start your business
at and receive a number of credits which you can then use towards
the purchase of one or more of the products in the virtual
classroom environment.
For instance you can buy and sell shares in the virtual Stock
Market Place (SMP). EqPeak SMP is exclusively available to the
students participating in EqPeak Finance Education System.
