:Objective:
To establish the cost estimate in line with Invitation to Tender (ITT) requirements, Technical and Strategic decisions.
:Responsibilities:
• The Cost Estimator shall be responsible for providing costs from the ITT documentation and the Master Equipment List/Bill of Materials related to the Work Package BOM based on available cost records, quotations, maturity of concept and other relevant aspects. The cost data shall be detailed down to a level deemed sufficient as basis for costing of Fixed Price Tender.
• Require an individual who are able to work with a group of tender team and are able to assist in delivering tenders to client within specified deadline. Whilst it is not the norm the individual should be aware that during peak periods of tendering there will be a requirement to work long and unsociable hours during tenders’ peak period in order to meet deadlines.
• The cost shall reflect the direct cost and shall be the basis for cost risk evaluation and general pricing work.
• The Cost Estimator shall be responsible for:
- To ensure compliance with the established Tender Pricing Formats according to the Client’s Work Breakdown Structure and linking to Aker Solutions standard pricing spreadsheet.
- To establish and submit cost input related to the Work Package BOM and ensure that the pricing is complied according to the inquiry received from the Client.
- To establish Work Package Cash Flow Exposure, which will be incorporated in the overall Cash Flow Exposure
- To establish and submit Exception/Qualifications related to bids for review.
- To liaise with both manufacturing and project execution to obtain accurate estimates of hours required to execute and manufacture the scope of supply
- To work with tender manager to establish Work Package Benchmarking for Aker Solutions management review.
- Each Lead Work Package Estimator, with the help of the bid engineer, shall be responsible for establishing the BOMB according to the Inquiry.
- To demonstrate through example of high commitment and alignment with value of Aker Solutions Vision is to be the preferred partner for all stakeholders, through: HSE Mindset • Customer Drive • Hands-on Management • Delivering Results • Open and Direct Dialogue • People and Teams
- Any other tasks deemed relevant from time to time
:Qualification:
• Minimum a degree or equivalent certificate in finance/engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years experience in finance preferably in costing environment.
• A background and understanding of engineering principles is a definite advantage.
• Good understanding and capability to work with spreadsheets.
• IT literate with excellent knowledge of excel
• Excellent command of English language both verbal and written.
• Flexible attitude to type and patterns of work and a willingness to learn new skills.
