last time they aim Bentong and Mentakab area because the plan was to bring kl people to live in bentong but work in KL. same with New York train plan, live in Brooklyn but work in 5th avenue.
now people will buy properties in Jelebu. Live in Jelebu but work in KL. so with the new route plan, KL to KB will be more than 5 hours.
Anyway i still prefer ECRL Sshud be abolished

ECRL: CCCC akan pulangkan sebahagian bayaran pendahuluan RM3.1 bilion


Dr Mahathir ketika sidang media berkenaan projek ECRL di Bangunan Perdana Putra, Putrajaya. - NSTP/Mohd Fadli Hamzah






KUALA LUMPUR: China Communications Construction Company Ltd (CCCC) bersetuju memulangkan sebahagian daripada RM3.1 bilion bayaran pendahuluan Fasa 2 Projek Laluan Rel Pantai Timur (ECRL), Landasan Berkembar dan Jajaran Utara berdasarkan kontrak asal, kata Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

“Sejumlah RM500 juta akan dipulangkan dalam tempoh seminggu dari 12 April 2019 dan RM500 juta lagi dalam tempoh sebulan dari sekarang membabitkan RM1 bilion,” katanya pada sidang media susulan pemeteraian Perjanjian Tambahan (SA) antara CCCC dengan Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd pada 12 April lalu.

Perdana Menteri berkata, bakinya akan diselesaikan dalam tempoh tiga bulan selepas potongan bagi tuntutan yang disahkan susulan kerja yang terbantut, penggantungan, serta pembatalan jajaran utara.

SA itu meliputi Fasa Satu dan 2 kerja kejuruteraan, pemerolehan, pembinaan dan pengoperasian ECRL pada harga yang dikurangkan kepada RM44 bilion.

Ini merupakan pengurangan sebanyak RM21.5 bilion atau 32.8 peratus daripada kos asal sebanyak RM65.5 bilion.

Dr Mahathir berkata, ECRL kini menelan belanja RM68.7 juta setiap kilometer berbanding RM95.5 juta setiap kilometer daripada perjanjian asal.

Jajaran baharu itu akan melalui 20 stesen dari Kota Bahru ke Kuala Terengganu, Kuantan, Mentakab dan melalui Jelebu, Bangi/Kajang, Putrajaya Sentral dan ke Pelabuhan Klang.

Ia akan melalui lima negeri dan Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya berbanding empat sebelum ini, yang akan membolehkan lebih banyak negeri memperoleh manfaat limpahan ekonomi.

Jajaran selatan akan menyediakan laluan darat langsung dari Pelabuhan Kuantan ke Pelabuhan Klang, dan menjadi jambatan darat antara kedua-dua pelabuhan.

Perdana Menteri berkata, jajaran baharu ini akan memanfaatkan KLIA Express Rail Link (ERL) sedia ada serta MRT2 SSP Line yang akan dilaksanakan, dengan stesen pertukaran di Putrajaya Sentral. - BERNAMA

ada rumours something big will happen dekat area Canal City (area rimbayu , eco sanctuary) sebab tu route ECRL ade lalu situ , maybe ade station kat situ , tapi mcm too good to be true


kalau betul2 jadi mmg meletup la area sana

Tun syak ECRL ada kaitan dengan 1MDB



PUTRAJAYA 15 April - Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad mengesyaki projek ECRL yang diluluskan kerajaan terdahulu ada kaitan dengan 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).


Perdana Menteri berkata, ini kerana kerajaan Pakatan Harapan berjaya mengurangkan kos pelaksanaan projek itu sebanyak RM21. 5 bilion kepada RM44 bilion daripada kos asal RM65.5 bilion.

“Kita syaki perkara itu berlaku kerana kos projek sangat tinggi tetapi kita berjaya mengurangkan kos sebanyak hampir RM22 bilion.

“Projek yang dilaksanakan secara tender kita boleh mendapatkan harga yang lebih baik, tetapi projek itu (ECRL) diberikan secara terus kepada syarikat China,” katanya dalam sidang akhbar khas mengenai projek ECRL di Bangunan Perdana Putra di sini hari ini.

Perdana Menteri berkata demikian ketika diminta mengulas laporan ECRL ada kaitan dengan usaha kerajaan terdahulu mendapatkan bantuan kewangan daripada China bagi menyelesaikan hutang 1MDB.

Dalam pada itu, Dr. Mahathir menolak andaian keputusan kerajaan meneruskan ECRL ada kaitan dengan usaha kerajaan mengesan ahli perniagaan, Low Taek Jho atau Jho Low yang terlibat dalam skandal 1MDB.

“Tiada kaitan dengan Jho Low, kita meminta bantuan kerajaan China mengesannya jika dia ada di China,” katanya.

Beliau berkata, pelaksanaan semula projek ECRL secara tidak langsung memberi peluang kepada Malaysia untuk mengeskport lebih banyak minyak sawit ke China.

Perdana Menteri turut menjelaskan, kejayaan kerajaan mengurangkan kos projek ECRL akan turut mengurangkan kadar bunga dan lain-lain kos apabila projek itu dimulakan tidak lama lagi.

Kerajaan juga katanya, berjaya meningkatkan penyertaan syarikat tempatan dalam projek itu kepada 40 peratus berbanding 30 peratus yang dipersetujui kerajaan terdahulu.

Ditanya punca kerajaan China bersetuju meneruskan projek berkenaan, Dr. Mahathir berkata, ini kerana kerajaan China sedar bebanan kewangan yang dihadapi Malaysia dan kos yang dipersetujui dahulu adalah terlalu tinggi.

“Kita dapat buktikan projek ini boleh dilaksanakan mungkin oleh syarikat tempatan pada harga lebih rendah. Itu sebab kerajaan China bersetuju,” katanya.
