Englishman has 20 in 26 in the top flight so far in this campaign.
Premier Leaaue leaders Liverpool have been handed a major fitness boost ahead of their title showdown with rivals Chelsea on Sunday afternoon at Anfield after key front man Daniel Sturridge revealed that he was on course to return from injury for the much-anticipated contest with the west London club, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.
The England international was forced to exit the Merseyside giants previous home fixture in the top flight, their massive 3-2 win over third-placed Manchester City, midway through the second half complaining of feeling tightness in his hamstring.
However, after sitting out the Reds' subsequent league match against struggling Norwich City at Carrow Road, again another 3-2 win for Brendan Rodgers's in-form outfit that maintained their lead at the top of the table, Sturridge is now in line to return against his former club this weekend in a match-up that could ultimately go a long way towards deciding the destiny of this season's title.
And Rodgers and Liverpool will just be hugely relieved to have the 24-year-old back in action against the Blues after the red-hot campaign in front of goal that Sturridge has enjoyed so far.
