How to create your QR code in a second

When you need to quickly transfer any information to another person via a smartphone, use QR codes. The interlocutor scans the code and instantly follows the link, connects to Wi-Fi, starts a call or opens mail without unnecessary clicks.

To generate your own QR code, there is a QR-code-generator service (http://www.qr-code-generator.com/). Your code will lead to any text, file, music, application, picture, link, and even access to your Wi-Fi. Go to the website, select the desired option from the list and enter the data. Click "Generate QR-code" and select the design.

The result can be downloaded in jpg, svg, eps format. Everything is ready! It is enough to send or show your QR code so that a person scans it and goes to your social networks or to a Wi-Fi point. Use it!

Useful Google Map tricks

Live View allows you to see where you're going by holding up your screen. How to use it:

In the Google Maps app, enter your destination and tap Directions.
Select the Walking icon at the top of the map screen.
On the bottom of the screen, tap the Live View button. It's located next to the Start button.
Point your camera at the buildings and signs on the street (you'll need to give the app access to your camera). When you start walking toward your destination, large arrows and the street name will appear on your screen to guide you.

Use Google Maps offline when your signal isn't strong. Google Maps lets you download your route ahead of time so that you never have to worry about getting lost.

In the Google Maps app, enter your destination.
Tap the name of the place or the address at the bottom of the screen.
Tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
Tap Download offline map.
