SCOPE OF COVERAGE (For Agent)
A. Accidental Death
If bodily injury sustained as a result of an accident shall, within 365 days from the date of accident, result in death, the
Estate of the deceased Insured Person will receive a lump sum equivalent to the Accidental Death Benefit stated in the
policy Schedule upon submission of all the relevant claim documents.

B. Permanent Disablement
If bodily injury sustained as a result of an accident shall, within 365 days from the date of the accident, result in Permanent Disablement to the Insured Person, a lump sum Benefit in accordance to the Schedule of Benefits specified in the policy
e.g. total loss by physical severance or total and permanent loss of use of arm at shoulder / elbow, hand at wrist, leg,
finger/s, shortening of leg or am, etc. Please refer to Doc 2 for the details of schedule of benefits table.
In the event of a claim under permanent disablement, the decision of the Company’s panel of physicians shall be final and
conclusive.

EXCLUSIONS
The policy does not cover any claims caused related to hazardous sports / activities, involvement in unlawful acts /
activities, any kind of disease or sickness or congenital defects (including HIV / AIDs related illness), intoxication, war,
terrorism, provoked murder / assault, insanity, suicide, self-inflicted injury, pregnancy, radiation, nuclear activities,
uniformed armed personnel, aircrew, travelling in an aircraft as a non fare-paying passenger and racing.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
a. Accidental Death
• Pays capital Sum Insured in the event of accidental death within 12 calendar months of bodily injury.
b. Permanent Disablement
• Pays as in Schedule of Benefits up to the capital Sum Insured in the event the Insured suffers any of the defined loss
within 365 days from the date of accident. Pls refer to Doc 2 – schedule of benefits for more details.
c. Double Indemnity
• Pays double the capital Sum Insured in the event of accidental death and permanent total paralysis from neck down
or permanent total loss / loss of use of 2 limbs due to accident whilst traveling on public transport as a fare-paying
passenger.
d. Renewal Bonus (On Accidental Death Only)
• Pay renewal bonus of 10% per year upon renewal of policy up to a maximum of 5 years subject to no claims.
e. Medical Expenses (Shall Include Traditional Treatment, Medical / Specialist or Post Mortem Reports)
Subject to the sum specified in the Schedule of Benefits, reimburses the actual:
• medical expenses incurred as a result of an accident or a result of the insured person having contracted Dengue
Fever, Malaria or Japanese Encephalitis.
• cost of bonesetting or traditional treatment (including medicine) incurred by the insured person as a result of bodily
injury due to an accident. It is warranted that such services and traditional treatment should be provided by a legally
licensed practitioner. This benefit will exclude chiropractic treatment unless it is medically necessary and is
recommended by the treating medical practitioner
• costs incurred by the insured person or his/her legal representatives in extracting the medical / post mortem report
which is required for the processing of claims under the policy.
NOTE: Compensation for medical expenses shall be payable only if such medical or surgical or traditional treatment is
furnished to the Insured by a qualified Medical practitioner or a legally traditional medicine practitioner within two
years after the date of accident, provided that the first expense is incurred twenty-six weeks after the date of accident.
f. Hospital Income
• Pays a specified sum up to 180 days if the Insured is hospitalised for more than 2 days for treatment of an injury due
to an accident.
g. Bereavement Allowance
• Pays a specified sum in the event of accidental death including due to Dengue, Malaria or JE excluding epidemic of
outbreak when declared by the Government of the country where the insured contracted the illness.
h. Medical Evacuation / Repatriation
• Reimbursement for the actual expenses incurred for emergency medical evacuation of the Insured due to an accident
whilst overseas or for repatriation expenses of the Insured’s mortal remains back to Malaysia as a result of death due
to an accident, up to the sum specified in the Schedule of Benefits.
i. Orthopaedic Equipment
• Reimbursement for actual cost of purchasing a wheelchair or artificial arm or artificial leg or crutches provided always
that such equipment are necessary to assist in the mobility of the Insured and are recommended by the attending
Specialist Physician or Surgeon. Subject to the sum specified in the Schedule of Benefits.
j. Blood Transfusion
• Pays the sum as specified in the schedule of benefits if the Insured contracts HIV as a result of a blood transfusion
whilst undergoing medical treatment for injury or illness in a government or licensed private hospital within Malaysia.
This Benefit shall only be payable if the Insured is positively diagnosed with HIV within 2 years from the date of the
blood transfusion.
k. Corrective Cosmetic Surgery
• On top of paying medical expenses, this insurance also reimburses for corrective cosmetic surgery performed for
burn cases due to accident including treatment of subsequent contractures or skin grafting.
l. Travel Expenses
• Reimbursement for the actual travel expenses incurred by one immediate family member who travels overseas to the
place where the death of insured occurred, to arrange for the burial / cremation or to bring the mortal remains of the
Insured back to Malaysia, subject to the sum specified in the Schedule of Benefits.
m. Ambulance Fees
• Reimbursement for ambulance fees incurred consequent upon an accident up to RM2,000 per accident.
n. Lump Sum Cash Payment
• Pay a lump sum as specified in the Schedule of Benefits in the event the insured person is hospitalised for more than
15 days for treatment of bodily injury resulting from an accident.
o. Personal Liability
• Indemnify up to the sum specified in the Schedule of Benefits against all sums which the Insured become legally
liable to pay to third parties in respect of accidental bodily injury or accidental damage to property, subject to terms
and conditions of the policy. The territorial limit of this benefit is within Malaysia only.

EXTENSIONS

• Amateur sports (except boxing, martial arts and X games)
• Exposure to natural elements
• Food and drink poisoning
• Mountain Climbing (except those using ropes or mechanical guides and rock climbing)
• Insect, snake or animal bites (limited to treatment of wounds only)
• Underwater activities (up to 50m)
• Natural Disasters including flood, fire, lightning, tidal wave, hurricane, cyclone, typhoon and earthquake
• Strike riot and civil commotion
• Suffocation through smoke fumes or poisonous gas
• Water sports (including yachting and water-skiing)
• Comatose resulting from an accident
• Disappearance resulting from an accident
• Drowning due to an accident
• Hunting
• Motorcycling
• Polo playing

CLASSIFICATION OF OCCUPATION

Class I
Any occupation involved in non-manual or light administrative work which:
• is substantially indoor in nature
• in a non-industrial environment (but not in bars, pubs, nightclubs, etc)
Class II
Any occupation involved in non-manual or light manual / supervisory work which:
• does not involve the use of industrial equipment / tools driven by steam / gas / water / electricity or other
mechanical power
• does not involve loading / unloading, carrying of goods and equipment of more than 20kg in weight
• does not require on an average more than 4 hours per day of work-related travel
Class II
Any occupation involved in purely manual work (with the exception of those that are extremely strenuous) which:
• is substantially outdoor or at the construction site
• is in a factory / workshop / industrial environment
• involves using industrial equipment / tools driven by steam / gas / water / electricity or other mechanical power
• involves loading / unloading, carrying of goods and equipment exceeding 20kg in weight
• involves on an average more than 4 hours per day of work-related travel
• does not involve working at a height of more than 30 feet above the ground outside the building.

EXCLUDED OCCUPATIONS

Aircraft Testers, Pilots, Aircraft Crew, Ship Crew, Circus / Entertainment Performers, Stuntmen, Divers, Explosive Handlers,
Firemen, Jockeys, Oil Rig Workers, engaged in Ambulance Services, engaged in Demolition of Building, involved in debt
collection, Police, Navy, Army, Law Enforcement Officers, Bodyguards, Bouncers, Private Investigators, Professional Sports,
Race Drivers, Sawyers, Timber Logging Workers, Seamen, Sea Fishermen, Steeplejacks, Jungle-clearing, Underground
Tunnel and Mine Workers, Scrap Collectors, Woodworking Machinists, War Correspondents, Politicians.
The list of excluded occupations is not exhaustive. The insurance company reserves the right to review this list from time to
time.

EXCLUSIONS

Aerial activities, AIDs, Childbirth / Miscarriage, Civil War, Diseases other than benefits, Martial Arts, Boxing, Bungee Jumping, X
Games, Pre-existing defect or infirmity, Professional Sport, Provoked Murder or Assault, Racing other than on Foot, Radiation
and Nuclear related risks, Suicide, Insanity, Self Inflicted Injury, Traveling as an Aircraft Crew, Unlawful Act / Activities, War or
Acts of War, Willful Exposure to Danger.
