Barrick has the largest reserves in the gold industry, with about 140 million ounces of proven and probable gold reserves. In addition, Barrick has 6.5 billion pounds of copper reserves and 1.07 billion ounces of silver contained within gold reserves as of December 31, 2010. In July, 2011, Barrick acquired Equinox Minerals which adds a further 4.5 billion pounds of copper reserves from the Lumwana mine and 1.2 billion pounds of copper reserves from the Jabal Sayid project.
The Company has the gold industry's only 'A' rated balance sheet, which positions it well to fund its project pipeline and act on other attractive exploration and acquisition opportunities as they may arise. The Company increased its dividend by 20%6 to $0.12 per share on a quarterly basis in 2010.

Description
Barrick Gold Corporation is engaged in the production and sale of gold, as well as related activities, such as exploration and mine development. It also produces copper, and hold interests in oil and gas properties located in Canada through its oil and gas subsidiary, Barrick Energy. Its producing mines are concentrated in three regional business units: North America, South America and Australia Pacific. In addition, it has a Capital Projects segment, distinct from its regional business units, to focus on managing projects. As of December 31, 2010, it held a 73.9% interest in African Barrick Gold plc, which included its previously held African gold mines and exploration properties. Its main properties include Goldstrike, Cortez, Lagunas Norte, Veladero, Zaldivar and Porgera mines and its Pueblo Viejo and Pascua-Lama projects. On September 17, 2010, it acquired the assets of Dolomite Resources. On June 25, 2010, it the Puskwa property from Galleon Energy Inc.

Peter Munk
Mr. Peter Munk, C.C., is Chairman of the Board of Barrick Gold Corporation. From March 27, 2008 to January 15, 2009, Mr. Munk was also the interim Chief Executive Officer of Barrick. Prior to September 2006, he was also Chairman of Trizec Properties, Inc., a real estate investment trust, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Trizec Canada Inc., a real estate company. Mr. Munk is the former Chair of the University of Toronto Crown Foundation and served as a Trustee of the University Health Network in Toronto. He holds an undergraduate degree and an honorary doctor of laws from the University of Toronto. Mr. Munk is a member of the Canadian Business Hall of Fame and the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame, a recipient of the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship, and a Companion of the Order of Canada. Mr. Munk did not serve as a director of any other publicly-traded companies during the period from 2006 to 2010.

Mr. Aaron W. Regent is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Barrick Gold Corporation. Mr. Regent was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Barrick on January 16, 2009. Mr. Charles William David Birchall is Vice Chairman of the Board of Barrick Gold Corporation since July 2005. From 2004 to March 2007, Mr. Birchall was the Chief Executive Officer of ABX Financeco Inc., a Barrick subsidiary. Mr. Birchall was the Vice Chairman of TrizecHahn Corporation, a real estate company, from 1996 to 2006. Mr. McCreary holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Strategy from McGill University and a M.Sc. in Geological Engineering from Queen's University. Mr. McCreary has been Head of CIBC World Markets' Global Mining investment banking group since 2009. He joined the bank in 2003, and has advised companies involved in some of the world's and mining transactions, including BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Placer Dome and Falconbridge. Prior to joining CIBC, Mr. McCreary was Vice President at TD Securities' investment banking group.
