"But, like I said before, we cannot run, but we are capable of going strongly.

Default Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will be back playing in January

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will not be breaking any promises when he returns to action in the new year, claims agent Silvano Martina.

Buffon is recovering from back surgery he had in the summer and is expected to return in 2011.

Speculative reports suggested he would be leaving the club, but Martina insists there is no chance of an exit as he plays down concern.

"I don't see any case with Buffon. He is doing well and is tranquil," Martina told Tuttomercatoweb.com.

"He will be back training with the group in January and his recovery is going very well."

Default UniCredit confirm there are 'interested parties' in Roma takeover

UniCredit have said there are several buyers eager to accomplish a Roma takeover - 24 hours after the club's holding company Italpetroli revealed non-binding offers had been made.

Head of UniCredit's corporate and investment arm, Piergiorgio Peluso, confirmed several parties had expressed an interest, but the process would likely take time - meaning the sale by December deadline is unlikely.

"There are many who are interested and they are looking through the due dilligence," Peluso told the press.

"The process is transparent, but complex and it is explained by the festivities.

"However, the potential buyers are very interested."

Default Filippo Inzaghi tells AC Milan to sign Antonio Cassano and Mario Balotelli

AC Milan's Filippo Inzaghi would welcome Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli and Sampdoria forward Antonio Cassano to San Siro.

Asked whether the two players would settle at San Siro, Inzaghi told Canale 5 programme Kalispera: "They [Balotelli and Cassano] would understand how to behave if they were to arrive otherwise you would be out of the group and play little.

"There are players here who teach you [how to behave]. People like Alessandro Costacurta and Paolo Maldini taught me.

"But I don't know if they would arrive at Milan."

Inzaghi is out injured for the rest of the season after suffering a knee ligament injury last month.

Default Juventus are eager to impress against Manchester City - Nicola Legrottaglie

Juventus defender Nicola Legrottaglie has insisted his side will prove they are not European failures against Manchester City.

Pride aside, La Vecchia Signora have nothing to play for in Thursday night's dead rubber Europa League clash. But beating the group leaders will offer comfort after crashing out of Europe against Lech Poznan two weeks ago.

"It's useless for the result. Juventus - Manchester City cannot be considered a worthless game and we are all ready for the game and we will give our maximum," Legrottaglie told the press.

"We want to maintain an unbeaten run in Europe, but also to keep the club's image.

"No one wants to perform badly. We want to honour the shirt."

Default Cesena 1 - 0 Cagliari

Jimenez seals win

Cesena ended 2010 with a much-needed win over Cagliari which ensures they will not end the year at the foot of Serie A.

A goal from Luis Jimenez in the 17th minute was enough to decide an encounter which was played on a frozen pitch at the Stadio Dino Manuzzi.

Cagliari hit the woodwork once, but looked a shadow of the side which had won three of its last four matches since Roberto Donadoni took over as coach.

Heavy snow had fallen in Emilia-Romagna overnight, but fortunately the sun had shined all day over Cesena, melting the snow, but as the temperatures plummeted below zero again, the remaining surface water turned to ice.

The conditions were therefore not perfect for players like Andrea Cossu or Emanuele Giaccherini, who like to play with the ball at their feet, but Jimenez showed how close control was still a possibility as he put the home side in front.

He played a one-two with Giaccherini and dribbled past the last Cagliari defender on his way into the penalty area where his finish was as cool as the temperature with a side-footed shot past Michael Agazzi.

Daniele Conti had a shot blocked by Maurizio Lauro before Radja Nainggolan struck the rebound over the crossbar.

Cagliari pegged Cesena back inside their own half and had another chance to level when Davide Biondini squared the ball for Robert Acquafresca, but his overhead kick went over the crossbar.

He went even closer to scoring just a minute before the interval when he headed against the crossbar from Michele Canini's shot and Conti this time sent the rebound over.

The best chance of the second half fell to Giaccherini, whose shot was saved instinctively by Agazzi in the 51st minute.

Cesena held on without running any risks to pick up three points which take them five clear of the bottom side Bari and level on points with fellow strugglers Brescia and Lecce having now played the same number of games as their rivals at the bottom.
