Default Lisandro happy at Lyon

Lyon striker Lisandro Lopez has denied having problems with coach Claude Puel.

Lisandro was said to have fallen out with Puel and reports in the English press suggested Tottenham and Liverpool were considering a 14 million move in January.

However, Lisandro said: "My relationship with Claude Puel is perfect - always full of professionalism and respect. Lately, I am always posed this question and I always give the same answer.

"It is logical that there is tension around each match. We are responsible for the situation that we see. We must manage the pressure. When the team does not play very well or does not win, it's always the coach who is targeted. This is normal in relation to our situation."

Reports have suggested Lisandro Lopez is unhappy at Lyon.

Default AJ Auxerre 0 - 1 Bordeaux : Updated: October 16, 2010

Anthony Modeste grabbed the winner as 10-man Bordeaux added to Auxerre's worries by securing victory at Stade de l'Abbe-Deschamps. Modeste's diving header gave Les Girondins a 19th minute lead but they played the last 21 minutes a man down after Alou Diarra was given a second yellow card for foolishly pushing the referee. But the visitors held on to leave their hosts only above the drop zone on goal difference.

Jean Tigana's side had the better of the first half and could have gone ahead in the 18th minute as Jaroslav Plasil's pass saw Wendel unleash a superb volley that had Olivier Sorin scrambling to make an agile save. But just a minute later Modeste lost his marker at another Plasil corner and found the net with a diving header.

Auxerre sought an equaliser before the break but Daruisz Dudka just failed to connect with the ball at the far post after a corner. The hosts then began the second half in purposeful fashion as a Cedric Hengbart crossed for Alain Traor but Cedric Carrasso made the save.

Delvin Ndinga then blazed wildly over the bar before Bordeaux were reduced to 10 men. Diarra fouled Traor and reacted angrily when the referee produced a yellow card, pushing the official, prompting a second yellow and a red to follow in quick succession.

Diarra then apologised to the two assistant referees as he left the field. But Auxerre could not take advantage of their numerical advantage and it was the visitors who came closest to a goal as Pierre Ducasse's free-kick skimmed the crossbar.

Default Marseille 1 - 0 AS Nancy Lorraine : Updated: October 16, 2010

Marseille 1-0 AS Nancy Lorraine.

Loic Remy scored the only goal of the game as Ligue 1 champions Marseille extended their unbeaten run to seven games at home to Nancy. Remy scored France's opener in the 2-0 victory over Romania in their Euro 2012 qualifier last weekend and he was on target again as Pierre-Andre Gignac's flick-on allowed him to score from close range after 28 minutes.

Nancy almost grabbed an equaliser when Alexandre Cuvillier's second-half free-kick hit the woodwork but OM deserved the win which moved them three points behind leaders Rennes, who travel to Lens tomorrow. Lucho Gonzalez was denied an opener for the hosts when his sweetly-timed shot was acrobatically kept out by Damien Gregorini at full stretch.

But the hosts got their decisive goal just before the hour following Benoit Cheyrou's corner delivery. The former Liverpool midfielder's flag-kick picked out Gignac who flicked on for his France team-mate Remy to slot home from close range.

OM failed to find a second goal to make their evening easier, although they came close on a number of occasions. Lucho was brilliantly denied for a second time by Gregorini just before the break and Remy spooned an effort just past the left-hand post shortly after the re-start. The hosts were almost made to pay with 65 minutes gone when Cuvillier crashed a free-kick against the post with Steve Mandana beaten.

Nancy, winless in four games, started to show signs of life and Mandana did have to save to deny another Cuvillier effort before blocking from Jordan Loties after a neat move. OM survived the scare and were only denied a second goal by a Joel Sami goal-line clearance as he sprinted back to clear after Taye Taiwo's snap-shot squirmed away from Gregorini and towards goal.

Default Brest 0 - 0 Arles : Updated: October 16, 2010

Brest 0-0 Arles.

Arles were left thanking the woodwork as they finally recorded their first point in Ligue 1 at the ninth attempt.

Michel Estevan had been relieved of his duties after eight successive defeats, with just three goals scored and 20 conceded, and was replaced by Faruk Hadzibegic at the start of the international break.

And the former Yugoslavia international, who was only able to name five substitutes for his first game in charge, appears to have instilled some resilience into his troops - though they breathed sighs of relief as Romain Poyet and Oscar Ewolo were denied by the crossbar in the second half.

Arles actually had the better of a first period lacking in goalmouth action, with Brest's Steeve Elana the busier of the two keepers. Elana blocked Camel Meriem's free-kick in the eighth minute and it was a further 20 minutes before Brest - also newly promoted this season - threatened, with Richard Soumah shooting wide from 18 yards.

Angelos Charisteas had the best chance of the half when he met Gael Germany's cross with a volley which was parried by Elana, and Meriem shot wide before the interval. Thomas Ayasse took over free-kick duties for the visitors after the break and forced a full-length save from Elana before the momentum swung Brest's way.

First Bruno Grougi's free-kick was met at the near post by Poyet, whose shot crashed back off the bar. And the same fate befell Ewolo with four minutes remaining when he was teed up by Poyet and beat keeper Cyrille Merville with a left-foot volley only to see the ball rebound back and the game finish goalless.

Default Caen 0 - 0 AS Monaco : Updated: October 16, 2010

Caen 0-0 AS Monaco.

Caen's Romain Hamouma and Nicolas Seube both rattled the Monaco goalframe as an entertaining Ligue 1 clash surprisingly finished goalless. The home pair both went frustratingly close in the second half of a match which featured a host of chances for both teams.

Monaco had the first opportunity in the fourth minute when Jean-Jacques Gosso let fly from 18 yards and Caen goalkeeper Alexis Thebaux had to push the ball wide for a corner. Hamouma menaced the Monaco defence for the first time when he shot a yard wide at the climax of a counter-attack.

Monaco dominated chances for the rest of the first half, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang having a shot cleared off the line by Thebaux in the 19th minute, soon followed by Gosso sending a crisp shot just wide from 18 yards.

With the interval approaching, Aubameyang crossed for Igor Lolo who beat Thebaux with a sweet header but saw defender Thomas Heurtaux rescue the hosts by clearing off the line. The theme of Monaco dominance persisted in the early stages of the second half, Aubameyang drawing a good block from Thebaux after opening fire from around 10 yards.

Park Chu-Young then brought the ball forward and struck from 12 yards, and again Thebaux denied the visitors. In the 53rd minute Monaco almost fell behind as Seube sent a fierce shot against the right post. Seube fancied his chances of breaking the deadlock and had a thunderous shot a minute later which Ruffier repelled. Chances continued to fall to each team.

Monaco threatened through Nicolas Nkoulou who met a free-kick with a firm volley which Heurtaux cleared off the line. Caen hit the post for a second time when Hamouma was released on the left, dribbled past Laurent Bonnart and shot from close range but again thudded his effort against the post.
