Proton patenkan nama model baru 'SUPRIMA"

Proton filed for a trademark for the name ‘Proton Suprima’ with the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) back in January 2013, as eagle-eyed reader Ooi pointed out to us. Is this the name for Proton’s new Perdana replacement model? The name certainly sounds apt – the name Suprima is clearly derived from the word supreme, which is befitting for a flagship car.

The latest word around the block is that Proton will be using the Honda Accord chassis as a base to develop the new Perdana Replacement Model. With the new Honda Accord just around the corner (it has already been launched in Thailand), it would not be surprising if the deal could be to use the Honda Accord model currently on sale in Malaysia to develop the new Proton Suprima.

Ikut andaian di Paultan, versi yang sedang dijual di Malaysia sekarang. Kalau di Thailand sudah keluar versi baru.

Proton akan guna platform saja. Design luar dalam katanya akan totally berbeza. Enjin dijangka akan guna enjin Petronas E01 2.0 normal aspirated dengan 2.2 turbo.
